DescriptionThe whole story▼
Riders who keep their Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 on the road throughout the autumn and winter need a rear brake that does not fade when the disc is wet or the air is cold. Accossato lists rear pad AGPP91 for the Continental GT 650 from 2020 to 2025, and this is the Sintered version. It is the compound for commuters in wet climates, for weekend tours with a passenger and for anyone who wants the pedal to feel the same in February as it does in July.
Key Features
- AGPP91 rear pad for the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650, 2020 to 2025
- Sintered mixture, article AGPP91ST
- Accossato: high, constant grip at low and high temperatures
- Responds well on a wet disc
- Steady pedal on long descents with a pillion
- Suitable for riding all year round
- OR and STMX share this plate
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato states that its Sintered compound maintains strong, consistent grip regardless of whether the brake is cold or hot, and that it continues to work well in wet conditions. On the rear of a café racer used as a daily bike, this means the pedal can be trusted on a rainy commute as well as on a dry afternoon ride. Accossato's pads are also designed to be long-lasting, limit fading thanks to controlled heat, and provide solid stopping power.
Wet Mornings and Winter Roads
A rear disc sprayed with water from the road briefly loses bite with many pads. The Sintered compound grips again quickly, which helps when the Continental GT 650 has to stop at a junction after a stretch of wet road.
Winter also brings salt and grit. Rinse the rear caliper after riding on treated roads and check that the pads move freely. A clean caliper makes the pads wear evenly and keeps the pedal feel consistent.
Two Up on the Continental GT
The Continental GT 650 is not built as a touring bike, but riders still take a passenger for a short weekend away. The extra weight at the rear gives the rear brake more to do on descents, and a compound that stays steady as it warms up keeps the pedal predictable.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPP91 for the rear of the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 from 2020 to 2025. At the front, the matching Accossato pad is AGPA92, while the Accossato disc for this model is DKS035. Pump the pedal until firm pressure returns after fitting, and check the rear fluid level.
Road Approval
We have no ABE or German approval mark for this pad. It is available for purchase for racing and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
One box with two Sintered rear pads for a single caliper.
