DescriptionThe whole story▼
Touring two-up with luggage, riding through rain and cold, taking the occasional unmade road: that is the life of many Moto Guzzi V85TTs, and it puts real work on the rear brake. Accossato's Sintered rear pads fit the V85TT 850 from 2019 to 2023 and are designed to deliver a consistent pedal from cold to hot and in wet conditions.
Key Features
- Sintered (ST) rear pads for the Moto Guzzi V85TT 850
- For model years 2019 to 2023
- Accossato: high, uniform grip across temperatures
- Dependable in the wet
- Suited to loaded touring and pillion riding
- Two pads for the rear caliper
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato states that the Sintered compound keeps its grip high and constant between cold and hot and delivers good bite when wet. At the rear of a V85TT carrying a passenger and panniers, where the rear brake shares more of the load, that stability gives a predictable pedal. The compound is designed to resist fade and wear.
Loaded Descents and Loose Surfaces
On a long descent with full luggage, gentle use of the rear brake alongside engine braking keeps the V85TT settled and takes load off the front. On a gravel road the rear brake is often the calmer way to shed speed, since it is less likely to tuck the front wheel. The Sintered compound is intended to give the same response in both situations and in the rain, so the rider can dose it with confidence.
Trip Maintenance
Rinse the rear caliper after dusty or muddy sections, look at the pads every couple of days on a long trip and check the fluid level. Replace pads in pairs and bed in new ones with progressive stops.
Fitment and Compatibility
For the rear caliper of the Moto Guzzi V85TT 850 from 2019 to 2023. The Accossato listing covers the V85 850 TT, the Evocative Graphics version of 2023 and the Guardia d'Onore of 2022 to 2023. There is also an OR version of this rear pad. Front pad AGPA96 and disc DKS032 are listed for this bike.
Road Approval
We hold no German ABE or test certificate for these pads and offer them for racing and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
Two Sintered rear pads, one set for the rear caliper. The original pins and clips on the bike are reused.
