DescriptionThe whole story▼
When the rain arrives halfway through a race day, the rear brake of a KTM 250 SX is the first control to go vague: it sits right in the spray from the rear tyre. This is the Accossato AGPP80 rear pad set in the Sintered compound, listed for the 250 SX from 2003 to 2026. It is made for the rider who races in all weathers, who trains through the colder months, and who wants the pedal to feel the same whether the disc is dusty, soaked or hot.
Key Features
- Rear pads AGPP80 for the KTM 250 SX, 2003 to 2026
- Sintered compound, article number AGPP80ST
- Accossato promises high, stable grip from cold to hot
- Works well when water and mud coat the rear disc
- Even pedal response throughout a long moto
- Also sold in OR and STMX for the same caliper
- No German ABE on hand; for competition
Construction and Material Quality
According to Accossato, the Sintered version keeps its grip high and constant through low and high temperatures and holds on well in the wet. For a rear brake that sits in constant spray, that consistency is what matters. The lining is bonded to the regular AGPP80 backing, so the rear caliper needs no changes when you pick this compound.
Rain Motos and Constant Pedal Feel
A wet moto is where rear brake technique really counts. With traction scarce, riders lean on the pedal to settle the bike before ruts and to scrub speed without upsetting the front. If the rear pad goes from dull to grabby as it dries out, that control is lost. A compound that keeps the same level of friction through the whole range of conditions lets the right foot work on memory rather than guesswork, lap after lap.
Because the rear caliper collects water and dirt, check it after every wet day. Look at the lining depth, clean the piston and inspect the brake fluid, which absorbs moisture over time.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPP80 as the rear pad for the SX 250 in the years 2003 to 2026; earlier bikes are not included. At the front, the matching Accossato pad is AGPA29 from 1996, and the brand lists discs DK017, DK018 and DK259 for this machine. Compare your worn pads with the new set before installation.
Road Approval
No ABE or German test certificate is available to us for AGPP80ST. It is offered for motorsport use.
Scope of Delivery
One box, two Sintered AGPP80 pads, enough for one rear caliper.
