DescriptionThe whole story▼
Touring on a Kawasaki Z900 SE with luggage or a passenger shifts more of the braking work to the rear wheel. Accossato's AGPP185 rear pads in the Sintered (ST) compound are listed for the Z900 SE from 2022 to 2026. The sintered mix is for owners who travel in all weathers and want the rear brake to respond in the same way on a wet valley road as on a dry motorway.
Key Features
- Sintered (ST) compound, rear position
- Kawasaki Z900 SE, 2022 to 2026
- High, steady grip across temperatures
- Wet-weather bite noted by Accossato
- Suits touring, luggage and pillion
- Two pads per box for the rear caliper
- Organic (OR) option in the same shape
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes the sintered compound as keeping a high and constant grip level whether cold or hot, and as working well in the wet. At the rear of a loaded Z900 SE, that steady response helps the rider slow down smoothly without upsetting the chassis. Accossato also designs its pads for low wear and a long life, with limited heat build-up.
Valley Roads and Sudden Rain
Alpine valley roads often combine long descents with sudden rain, and on a Z900 SE loaded for a week away the rear brake becomes a real help. A sintered rear pad gives the rider a firm, predictable pedal through those changes. Before the trip, check the pad thickness and the rear fluid level, and clean the caliper. If the old pads have worn unevenly, look at the caliper slides and piston. With a pillion on board, brake smoothly and use both brakes together for the most stable stops. A sintered rear pad copes calmly with the added heat of a long, loaded descent.
Fitment and Compatibility
These rear pads are listed by Accossato for the Z900 SE, entry Z 900 SE (2022-2026). A single box covers the rear caliper. The front pad listed for the SE is the AGPA177, and the DK236 is its listed disc. The AGPP185 also serves the base Z900 and is sold in Organic (OR) as well. Clean the piston before you push it back.
Road Approval
Our files hold no ABE or test mark for these pads, so they are sold for racing and competition use.
