DescriptionThe whole story▼
A Honda NM4 750 Vultus ridden through winter needs a rear brake that copes with wet roads, salt spray and cold starts, and one that stays predictable when a passenger sits on the converted backrest. Accossato makes the AGPP185 for the rear of the NM4 750 Vultus from 2015 to 2018, and this box holds the Sintered (ST) mixture. It is the rear pad for riders who use their Vultus in every season rather than only on warm summer evenings.
Key Features
- Rear pads for the Honda NM4 750 Vultus, 2015 to 2018
- Article AGPP185ST: the AGPP185 shape in Sintered compound
- Accossato claims constant grip in cold and hot conditions
- Strong response on a wet disc
- For winter use, rain and riding two-up
- Organic (OR) available on this shape
- Two pads in the box for the rear caliper
- Offered for competition use; no ABE available
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato calls the Sintered compound its all-conditions version. It is designed, the maker says, to hold a high and stable grip level from cold to hot and to bite reliably on a wet disc. For a rear brake mounted low in the spray, that behaviour counts. The standard Accossato promises also apply: moderate wear, limited heating that curbs fade, and solid stopping power. The AGPP185 plate carries the friction face and fits the rear caliper as the original does.
Winter Service for the Vultus
Cold mornings and wet roads change how a rear brake feels. A pad that needs heat to work properly may give a vague first press, which is not what you want when slowing a heavy cruiser with a passenger. The sintered compound is chosen so that the NM4 750 Vultus behaves the same way on the ride to work in January as it does in July. That consistency also helps under ABS, as the system copes more smoothly with a pad that does not change character mid-stop.
Road salt attacks calipers, so rinse the rear brake after winter rides and dry it before parking. Inspect the pads and the disc surface regularly, and when you fit a new set, clean the piston, pump the pedal until pressure is back and bed the pads in gently.
Fitment and Compatibility
The AGPP185 is shown by Accossato for the rear of the Honda NM4 750 Vultus, DCT with ABS, from 2015 to 2018. The catalogue also lists AGPP88 for 2015 to 2018 and AGPP246 for 2015 to 2019, so compare with your existing pads. At the front the Vultus takes the AGPA81. For mostly dry city use, the Organic version of this rear pad is the alternative.
Road Approval
No ABE or German test certificate for the AGPP185ST is in our hands, so these pads are sold for competition and track use.
Scope of Delivery
Two AGPP185 pads in the Sintered mixture, making one set for the rear caliper.
