DescriptionThe whole story▼
Where the Organic rear pad in this range suits a relaxed riding style, this Sintered (ST) set for the Sportster 1200 Custom XL1200C, built from 2014 to 2019, is for owners who carry a passenger, ride through colder months, or simply want the rear brake to feel the same whatever the weather does on a given day.
Key Features
- Sintered (ST) compound for the Sportster 1200 Custom XL1200C rear caliper
- Listed by Accossato for model years 2014 to 2019
- High, constant grip claimed by the maker at hot and cold temperatures
- Keeps biting once the disc has picked up rain
- Suited to two-up riding and year-round use
- Alternative OR rear compound exists for the same caliper
- Two pads per box, enough for one rear caliper
Construction and Material Quality
What Accossato promises with this ST mixture is consistency: the same strong grip whether the pad has only just started working or has been hot for an hour, and no sudden loss of bite the moment the disc gets wet. A passenger riding pillion on the 1200 Custom shifts real weight onto the rear wheel, and that extra load is exactly where a compound built to perform the same way in any condition earns its place over the softer, fair-weather Organic option.
Consistent Grip Through the Year
A Sportster ridden through autumn and winter, not just put away once the weather turns, asks more of its rear brake than a bike kept for fair-weather weekends, and this Sintered set is built to meet that demand without the bite dropping away as the season changes. The rear pedal should feel the same reaching for it in November as it did back in June, regardless entirely of what the forecast says on the morning the bike leaves the garage.
Fitment and Compatibility
This pad is specific to the 1200 Custom XL1200C from the 2014 to 2019 build years; please verify your exact year before ordering, as fitment is not shared with earlier or later Sportster generations. Owners who prefer a gentler pedal for mostly solo, dry-weather riding can choose the Organic compound instead, on the same rear caliper, without any other part of the bike needing attention or adjustment.
Road Approval
No approval paperwork, such as a German ABE or a type approval mark, is available to us for this pad, so it is listed for racing and competition use where such documentation is required for road riding. Please check your own country's rules first.
Scope of Delivery
Two brake pads in the box, one set for a single rear caliper. Mounting hardware such as pins or springs is not part of the package.
