DescriptionThe whole story▼
A track that has been watered before the first session is a different surface every half hour. It starts heavy and wet, turns tacky and fast by mid-morning and is blowing dust by lunchtime, and a rider on a GasGas MC 250F of 2021 to 2026 adjusts to each stage of it. Accossato's rear article for the bike is the AGPP80, and AGPP80ST carries the Sintered material, which the company describes as holding a constant level of grip at high and low temperatures and as keeping its bite when there is water on the disc.
Key Features
- Rear brake pads for the GasGas MC 250F of the 2021 to 2026 seasons
- Article AGPP80ST: the AGPP80 rear plate in the Sintered material
- One grip level whether the disc is cold, hot or soaked
- Accossato names wet surfaces as part of the working range
- For watered practice tracks, wet meetings and long sessions
- One rear caliper on the machine, one box of plates for it
- OR and STMX cover the same carrier for other conditions
- No ABE documented on our side; supplied for competition
Construction and Material Quality
Changeable ground is the argument for this material. In a single session the rear disc of an MC 250F can go from cold and running with water to hot and dry, and if the pad answers differently in each state the rider is recalibrating the boot rather than riding. Accossato's description for the Sintered version sets both variables aside, which is what allows one pedal habit to serve the whole morning. The carrier underneath is the usual AGPP80 plate, identical across the versions of the article, so the caliper cares nothing for which material is chosen.
A Watered Track in the Morning
The first sessions after watering are where most rear brakes are worked hardest. Traction is good, so speeds are high, while the surface throws a constant spray of wet grit over the back of the bike, and the pedal is being used into every corner. An hour later the same corners are dry and dusty and the rear wheel breaks away far sooner, so the rider is now modulating carefully rather than leaning on it. The brake has to be the fixed point in all that change.
Between sessions there is time for the small jobs that keep it that way. Look into the caliper mouth for grit trapped at the edge of a plate, since wet sand collects there and then scores the disc for the rest of the day. Check that the pedal has not been pushed down in a fall and that its return is clean. And if the rear has felt vague all morning, feel the disc for a bend before blaming the pads, because a rear rotor on a motocross bike takes hits nobody sees.
Fitment and Compatibility
This rear listing runs from 2021 to 2026 on the MC 250F, written MC 250 F in Accossato's tables. The front of the bike takes the AGPA29 over the same years, a separate article for a caliper of a different size, so both numbers are needed when the whole bike is being refreshed. Accossato holds no disc for the model in its programme. The two plates in the box are one rear caliper's worth, and comparing the old plate with the new one before fitting is a sensible final check.
Road Approval
No ABE for the AGPP80ST has reached us and no German test report, so we list the pads for competition and for riding on closed ground.
Scope of Delivery
