DescriptionThe whole story▼
Weather is the reason a Diavel 1260 Lamborghini often stays under its cover, and it is also the reason some owners change the rear pad. There are riders who took delivery of the limited Ducati and then used it properly: an early start that turns to drizzle, a dual carriageway with lorry spray hanging over it, an evening ride home with the temperature falling. For that owner Accossato presses the AGPA92 plate in its Sintered material, article AGPA92ST, listed at the back of the bike from 2020 to 2023, and describes the mixture as holding one grip level whether the disc is hot or cold, with water on it or without.
Key Features
- Rear brake pads for the Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini of 2020 to 2023
- AGPA92ST: Accossato's Sintered friction material on the AGPA92 plate
- Described by the manufacturer as steady at high and at low temperature
- Rain on the disc is treated as normal service, not as an exception
- A box holds two pads, the quantity the rear caliper works with
- Also pressed in OR, EV1, EV2 and ZXC for the same machine
- Only the rear wheel of this edition appears in Accossato's pad list
- No German ABE on file; catalogued for competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Take the plate out of the question, since every AGPA92 has the same one, and the ST article comes down to how its friction layer behaves when conditions move around. Accossato's claim is constancy: the bite that meets your boot after a wet hour on a fast road should resemble the bite you felt leaving home in the dry, and a cold start should not change the answer either. Riders reckon in reference points rather than in physics, and a pedal that has to be relearned halfway through a ride is a pedal that gets used too late or too hard.
Wet Tarmac Under a Limited Edition
Water does two jobs on a rear disc and neither of them helps. It lies on the steel as a film that must be swept aside before the pads take hold, and it keeps cooling the assembly between applications so the material never settles into a rhythm. On a Diavel 1260 Lamborghini the pedal counts for more in the rain than in the dry, because this is a low machine with a long wheelbase and plenty of mass behind the rider, and a gentle press into a slippery roundabout does more for composure than a fistful of front brake ever will. Material built for damp work shortens the pause between asking and receiving.
A machine ridden through bad weather deserves a short check afterwards. Salt and grime settle on the rear caliper of the Diavel 1260 Lamborghini where nobody looks, and the pads sit in that spray all season; hosing the area down before an inspection makes the remaining thickness easy to judge. Change the pair rather than one side, and once the wheel is home again, press the pedal until it firms up, then make a few deliberate stops on a dry stretch so the fresh faces settle evenly against the steel.
Fitment and Compatibility
This listing belongs to the 2020 to 2023 Lamborghini edition and to no other Diavel; the rest of the family is catalogued under separate numbers, and guessing from the outline is how the wrong box ends up in the post. One caliper at the rear, one box, two pads, fitted as a pair and never singly. Accossato names no disc for this version, so the Sintered material runs against the original steel. Owners who would rather have a quieter or a sharper character will find the same outline in OR, EV1, EV2 and ZXC.
Road Approval
There is no German ABE behind the AGPA92ST and no test paperwork in our files, which is why the pads are sold for racing and closed-course riding.
Scope of Delivery
A single box, two AGPA92 pads in the Sintered compound, one caliper's worth of friction material.
