DescriptionThe whole story▼

The rear brake of a travel bike lives in the worst place on the motorcycle. Everything the back tyre picks up goes straight past it: road salt in February, farm mud in autumn, sand from a wet lay-by. A BMW F900GS Adventure is asked to keep working in all of it, often with luggage aboard. The Sintered (ST) material in the AGPP91 rear pad, listed for the F900GS Adventure of 2024 to 2026, is for owners who ride through those months instead of waiting for them to pass.

Key Features

  • Rear pads for the BMW F900GS Adventure, model years 2024 to 2026
  • Sintered (ST) material on the AGPP91 plate, article number AGPP91ST
  • Accossato underlines a grip level that holds from cold to hot
  • The maker mentions wet discs in the same description
  • Made for year-round use and for bikes that carry weight
  • Two pads in the box, the set for the single rear caliper
  • OR and STMX versions of the same plate serve other purposes
  • No German ABE documented; sold for track and competition

Construction and Material Quality

What Accossato underlines here is consistency. The temperature moves, the feel at the pedal does not, and a wet disc is no exception to that. On the rear of a laden machine the wet part is the one you notice first, since the rear disc is low down and permanently in the spray thrown forward by the tyre, so it never really dries out in bad weather. The mix is also slow to wear, which is worth having on a component that is awkward to inspect and easy to forget. The box holds the two plates the rear caliper needs, no more and no less.

In the Spray Line of the Rear Wheel

Look behind the swinging arm after a wet week and you will understand why rear brakes need more attention than they get. There is a grey film over everything, the caliper carries a crust of grit, and the disc has a dull ring where the pads have been wiping it clean. None of that stops the brake working, but it does shorten its life if it is left alone. A bucket of warm water and a soft brush once a month does more good than any additive. When the pads are next out, clean the carrier where they slide, check that they move freely rather than sticking in one position, and push the pistons back slowly so that dirty fluid is not forced up into the master cylinder. Riders who use an F900GS Adventure through the winter also learn to give the rear brake a gentle squeeze now and then on a salty road, keeping the friction faces clean rather than letting a layer build up. A rear brake you can feel through the boot is a safety item on a bike carrying two people and their luggage, not a detail.

Fitment and Compatibility

The rear entry for the Adventure is the AGPP91, listed by Accossato for 2024, 2025 and 2026. That wheel has one caliper, so one box does the job, and the pads go in as a pair. The front of the same machine takes the AGPA92 in a choice of five materials, and the DK006 is the disc Accossato offers for the F900GS Adventure. Model years before 2024 are not covered, for the plain reason that this version of the bike did not exist then.

Road Approval

There is no German ABE for the AGPP91ST in our documents and no test mark on the part. We offer it for competition and for closed-circuit use.

Scope of Delivery
