A day that ends with the bike back on wet asphalt and a long ride home in the rain is a normal day in the trail-riding calendar. The rear brake has spent the afternoon in mud and now has to work in spray on a motorway slip road, cold and soaked. The Sintered compound is Accossato's answer to that swing: it is described as keeping a high, constant grip level at high and low temperatures and as gripping well in the wet. Here it sits on the AGPP91 rear pad for the Aprilia Tuareg 660 Rally of 2025.

Construction and Material Quality
Constancy is what Accossato claims for ST, and the wording covers both ends of the range: grip at low temperature, grip at high temperature, and grip on a wet disc. A Tuareg 660 Rally used through the year meets all three inside a single day. The pad is cold on the ride out, warm after a descent, and then wet for an hour on the way home. A rider who has to recalibrate the pedal each time is doing work that the friction material should be doing instead.
Wet Kit, Wet Bike, Long Way Home
The ride home is the part of the day when concentration is lowest and the road is at its worst. Light is fading, the visor is smeared, and everything on the bike is wet, brakes included. The first firm application after a long motorway stretch has to push water off the disc before it does anything else, which is why experienced riders touch the pedal and the lever lightly every few minutes in heavy rain instead of discovering the delay at a roundabout.
What happens after the ride matters too. A machine parked wet and dirty overnight starts the next day with a rusty film on the discs and grit sitting in the caliper. A rinse with clean water before it goes under a cover takes two minutes, and riding the last stretch gently rather than stopping straight off the motorway leaves the brake dry rather than steaming.
Fitment and Compatibility
The Rally appears in Accossato's list with one brake article, this rear pad, for the 2025 model year. No front pad and no disc are catalogued for it, so those parts remain original. The rear wheel is served by one caliper, which takes a single box of two pads, and both pads in it are replaced at the same time. Owners of the Tuareg 660 Rally who also ride off-road may want to look at the third compound on this carrier.
Road Approval
