DescriptionThe whole story▼
Accossato's AGPA96 front pad in Sintered (ST) compound is listed for the 2024 Zero S with the ZF14.4 battery. It is intended for riders who use the latest S for longer trips as well as commuting: weekend tours into the hills, rides with a passenger, days that start in the rain and finish in sunshine. The sintered mix is designed to give the same bite throughout, whatever the temperature and however wet the road.
Key Features
- Front pad AGPA96 for the Zero S 2024 (ZF14.4)
- Sintered (ST) compound
- Constant grip across temperatures, says Accossato
- Wet-weather performance
- Suited to riding two-up and weekend tours
- Other versions of this pad: OR, EV1, EV2, ZXC
- Pair of pads, one caliper
Construction and Material Quality
According to Accossato, the sintered formula keeps a high, even level of grip at both low and high temperatures and continues to grip well on wet roads. On a modern electric naked bike used for both commuting and weekend rides, this gives a lever that behaves the same way in any weather. The company also builds its pads to wear slowly and to keep heat in check, so fade stays small on long descents.
Weekend Tours with a Passenger
With a passenger aboard, the 2024 Zero S carries more weight and the front brake has more work to do. On a weekend tour into the hills, the brakes also face long descents and changing weather. A sintered pad is designed for that kind of day, with a steady response that makes smooth stops easier and keeps your passenger comfortable. Before a longer trip, check pad thickness and the condition of the brake fluid, and make sure the disc is free of oil or cleaning residue. On the road, use the regeneration setting to take some load off the friction brakes on long descents.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA96 for the front of the Zero S ZF14.4, model year 2024. The earlier S from 2015 to 2017 needs AGPA92. For the rear, Accossato offers AGPP91. Replace the pads of the caliper together, wipe the pistons before retracting them and press the lever repeatedly until firm. A few gentle stops will help the sintered pads bed in.
Road Approval
Accossato has not supplied test papers or an ABE, so we list these pads for track and competition use.
