DescriptionThe whole story▼
The recent Yamaha YZ250, listed by Accossato from 2021 to 2026, uses the AGPA288 front pad, and the Sintered version, SKU AGPA288ST, is the all-round choice for owners who mix practice days on a track with trail rides and weekend outings in changeable weather. It is designed for a front brake that keeps the same character whether the disc is dry, wet, cold or hot, so the rider can concentrate on lines and throttle control rather than on the brake.
Key Features
- Sintered (ST) front pad, SKU AGPA288ST
- Yamaha YZ250, 2021 to 2026
- Accossato: high grip at a constant level, cold or hot
- Accossato: good grip in wet conditions
- All-round pad for track and trail
- Two pads per box for the front caliper
- Rear pad AGPP106 and discs DK111, DK168 listed
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes the Sintered compound as giving high, constant grip at low and high temperatures, with good wet performance. On a modern YZ250 ridden on varied ground, that all-round behaviour makes sense. Accossato also cites slow wear and fade resistance; we give no material details. The company has been based in the Turin area since its founding in 1969.
One Pad for Mixed Weekends
A typical weekend for many YZ250 owners includes a few hours on a prepared track on Saturday and a trail ride with friends on Sunday. Conditions differ from one day to the next, and the front pad has to handle both. A Sintered pad offers a consistent lever in dust and in rain, on smooth jumps and on rocky climbs. It is a practical choice for riders who do not want to swap pads between outings. For serious mud and race days, the Off-road sintered version of the same pad is available.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato places AGPA288 on the front of the Yamaha YZ250 for 2021 to 2026. The older AGPA110 covers 2008 to 2021; because 2021 is shared, check the shape of your current pads. One front caliper means one box. For the rear of the YZ250, Accossato lists AGPP106 from 2003 to 2026, and the discs DK111 and DK168. Clean the caliper and pistons before fitting, and bed the new pads in with a few firm stops on a flat section before riding hard.
Road Approval
No ABE or test certificate is available to us for this pad. It is offered for racing and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
