DescriptionThe whole story▼
Rain on a mountain pass, cold mornings in March and a passenger with a backpack are everyday realities for many Brutale 800 owners. This Sintered (ST) front set fits the MV Agusta Brutale 800 family built from 2013 to 2025, including the Dragster, RC and Rosso versions, and suits riders who want a front brake that feels identical in every season.
Key Features
- Sintered (ST) front pads for the Brutale 800, Dragster, RC and Rosso
- Fits 2013 to 2025, according to version
- Grip in the wet, as stated by Accossato
- High, constant bite across temperatures
- Suited to touring with pillion or bags
- Two pads per box for one caliper
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes the Sintered compound as offering a high, constant level of grip at both low and high temperatures, together with good grip in the wet. The value of this mixture lies in its evenness. As with all the maker's pads, the targets are long life, fade kept away by limiting heat, and strong deceleration, here combined with the ability to cope with weather that changes during a ride.
Pass Roads and Changing Weather
A Brutale 800 on a two-day trip over several Alpine passes meets fog at the summit, wet hairpins on the way down and warm valleys at the bottom. Long descents keep the front brake working for minutes at a time. A passenger adds weight to every stop. The Sintered set is aimed at exactly that: a lever that does not change character between the first damp bend and the last hot one. Year-round commuters on the MV Agusta benefit in the same way.
Maintenance Before a Trip
Before a long tour, check pad thickness and disc condition. Swap both front sets together, clean the pistons before retracting them, and check the fluid. After fitting, pump the lever until firm, and bed the pads in before the first mountain descent.
Fitment and Compatibility
Five variants of the three-cylinder naked share this pad. Two of them, the Rosso (from 2020) and the Dragster RC (from 2017), are catalogued right up to 2025. The standard bike covers 2013 until 2020, the plain Dragster 2015 until 2019, and the RC edition 2018 until 2020. If your machine is one of these, AGPA96 is the correct front shape; for the back wheel Accossato offers AGPA42 in matching compounds. Remember that each front caliper takes one box, so a full set for the front means ordering two.
Road Approval
No ABE, test mark or road approval documents are available for this pad. It is therefore supplied for racing and competition.
