DescriptionThe whole story▼
Spoked wheels invite unpaved roads, and the KTM 390 Adventure SW of 2023 is often ridden where the weather is least predictable: high passes, coastal tracks, northern back roads. Accossato lists the AGPA184 front pad for the 390 Adventure SW in model year 2023, and this is the Sintered compound. It fits riders who travel far from home, meet rain and cold on the way and need the front brake to behave the same at dawn in the mountains as in the afternoon heat of the valley.
Key Features
- Front set AGPA184 for the KTM 390 Adventure SW, 2023
- Sintered compound, article AGPA184ST
- Accossato states high grip that stays constant at high and low temperatures
- Good bite on a wet front disc
- Even lever feel on long trips
- Also produced as OR and EV1
- No German ABE with us; competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's description of the Sintered pad focuses on steady friction: a high level that stays the same across cold and hot conditions, and good grip when wet. On a travel bike that climbs into cold, damp air and descends into warm valleys, that means fewer surprises at the lever. The lining is fitted to the AGPA184 plate and suits the standard caliper.
Far From Home, Whatever the Weather
A long trip on a small adventure bike brings every kind of weather. Morning fog leaves the disc wet; a long descent later heats it up; an afternoon storm cools it again. The rider may be tired and on unknown roads. A pad that keeps its grip level through all of that lets the front brake work the same way every time, which takes one variable out of an already demanding day. On the spoked-wheel SW, which is likely to see more gravel and water, that consistency is welcome.
Before departure, check lining depth and brake fluid condition. After rainy stages, rinse grit from the caliper when you get the chance.
Fitment and Compatibility
AGPA184 is listed by Accossato for the front of the Adventure 390 SW, model year 2023. The matching rear pad is AGPP91. One front caliper means one box is enough. No Accossato disc for this bike appears in our data. Compare the pad shapes before fitting.
Road Approval
AGPA184ST has no ABE or German test certificate that we know of; it is sold for motorsport use.
Scope of Delivery
Two Sintered AGPA184 front pads, one set for a single caliper.
