A KTM 1190 Adventure from 2013 to 2016 is the kind of bike people ride to the North Cape or across the Balkans, whatever the weather. For that sort of owner Accossato offers this front pad in the Sintered (ST) compound. Accossato's claim for ST is a grip level that stays high and even, from a frosty start to a hot descent, and good bite on wet discs, which is what matters when the forecast is wrong again.

Construction and Material Quality
Consistency is the word Accossato builds its sintered description around. The compound, it says, keeps a high grip level without big swings as temperatures change, and it continues to work when the disc is wet. That is exactly what a 1190 rider wants on a rainy Norwegian fjord road or a cold morning in the Carpathians. The usual Accossato claims apply too: long life, modest wear and less fade because heat builds up slowly. Nothing is published about the composition.
Long Journeys, Changing Skies
Big trips on an 1190 Adventure mean days of rain followed by days of heat, and roads that switch from smooth motorway to broken mountain tarmac. On a fully loaded bike, the front brakes carry most of the load on each descent. Sintered pads are designed to keep their character through all that, so you do not need to relearn the lever each morning. If you mostly commute, the OR pad is quieter; if you ride circuits, look at EV1, EV2 or ZXC instead.
A Spare Set in the Pannier
On a long tour, a spare set of front pads takes almost no space and can save days of waiting for parts. Check the pad thickness every few days, especially after wet stages or long descents.
Fitment and Compatibility
Front pad AGPA96 is listed by Accossato for the KTM 1190 Adventure, 2013 to 2016. There are two front calipers, so two boxes renew the whole front. The Accossato rear pad for this bike is AGPA29. Clean the pistons with brake cleaner before retracting them, and bed the new pads in before loading up for a trip.
