DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Kawasaki ZX-4R 400, offered from 2023 to 2026 and as an SE version in 2023 and 2024, is a practical four-cylinder sports bike that many owners use every day. It carries its rider to work in the week and often a passenger into the countryside at the weekend. Accossato's AGPA109 front pad in the Sintered mixture fits that pattern: steady grip in all weather, no need to warm up and reliable behaviour with extra weight on board.
Key Features
- Front pads AGPA109 for the Kawasaki ZX-4R 400, 2023 to 2026
- Sintered mixture, SKU AGPA109ST
- Accossato promises high, even grip whether cold or hot
- Keeps biting when the roads are wet
- Calm response with a passenger on board
- Suits daily commuting as well as weekend rides
- This plate also exists in EV1, EV2 and ZXC
- No ABE on file; for track use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes this Sintered compound as keeping a strong grip level that changes little with temperature and that stays effective on a wet disc. For a ZX-4R 400 used on the daily commute, that means the same brake on a frosty morning as on a warm evening. The manufacturer also points to slow wear, fade resistance through limited heat build-up and firm braking power.
Two Up on a 400
With a passenger, the ZX-4R 400 carries more weight, and more of it shifts forward under braking. The front brake works harder and the rider has to apply it more progressively so the passenger is not thrown forward. A pad with a steady, predictable bite makes this easier. The Sintered set also stays reliable if the weekend trip ends in the rain, which is exactly when a passenger appreciates smooth braking.
Before carrying a passenger, adjust the rear preload if possible, check the tyre pressures for the higher load and make sure both riders know how the bike will pitch when braking.
Commuter Care
Daily riding wears pads faster than you might expect. Look at the pad thickness every couple of weeks, and listen for scraping noises that suggest the pads are nearly worn through.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA109 for the front of the ZX-4R 400 from 2023 to 2026, and for the SE version from 2023 to 2024. DKS080 is the Accossato disc for this model. No rear pad is catalogued for the ZX-4R 400 in this list. One box covers one caliper; count the calipers on your bike.
Road Approval
There is no ABE or German approval mark for AGPA109ST in our records. It is sold for competition use.
