DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Kawasaki Z900RS brought the look of the legendary seventies Z1 back into showrooms in 2018, with a modern four-cylinder engine and chassis underneath. Plenty of owners ride theirs far more than a classic would ever be ridden, including through wet springs and cold autumns. For them Accossato lists the AGPA109 front pad in the Sintered (ST) compound, for the Z900RS from 2018 to 2026. The sintered mix offers a front brake whose response stays much the same in the rain as in the dry.
Key Features
- Sintered (ST) compound for the front calipers
- Kawasaki Z900RS, 2018 to 2026
- High, steady grip from a cold start
- Good wet bite, according to Accossato
- Suited to riding in every season
- Two pads in the box for one caliper
- AGPP88 rear pad and DK236 disc listed for the bike
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato states that its sintered compound keeps a high, constant grip level at both low and high temperatures and grips well in the wet. On a heritage-styled roadster that is actually ridden rather than polished, that dependable behaviour is the point. The Piedmont manufacturer also designs its pads for low wear, long life and moderate heating, which holds fade back on a long hill.
A Modern Classic in Any Weather
Some Z900RS owners keep the bike in the garage when rain threatens, but many treat it as their only motorcycle and ride it in all conditions. Spring showers, wet cobbles in old town centres and cold autumn lanes are part of the year. A sintered front pad gives the rider the same lever feel through all of it, which makes wet-weather stops easier to judge. After a rainy ride, dry the bike, check that the calipers are clean and look at the pads through the caliper opening. When changing pads, clean the pistons before easing them back and renew the brake fluid if it has turned dark.
Fitment and Compatibility
The AGPA109 is listed by Accossato for the front of the Kawasaki Z900RS, entry Z 900 RS (2018-2026). Since the RS has two front calipers, you need two boxes to change the whole front. The listed rear pad is the AGPP88, and the brand's DK236 disc suits the model. The same AGPA109 shape is also offered as EV1 street/track, EV2 racing and ZXC ceramic racing.
Road Approval
We hold no ABE or test mark for these pads, which is why they are offered for racing and competition use.
