DescriptionThe whole story▼
A Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 is light enough for town and lively enough for a mountain pass, which is why many owners load it with a tail bag and head for the hills. When the weather turns halfway up a climb, the front brake needs to stay predictable. Accossato's AGPA184 front pad in the Sintered compound, SKU AGPA184ST, is the mixture for that kind of riding, listed for model years 2017 to 2025. It suits tourers, two-up riders and anyone who keeps the bike running all year round.
Key Features
- AGPA184 front pads in the Sintered compound
- Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, model years 2017 to 2025
- Accossato claims high, constant grip hot or cold and in the rain
- Repeatable lever point on long descents
- Handles luggage and a passenger with composure
- OR and EV1 also available in this shape
- Competition use, no ABE
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes the Sintered version as one that keeps a high, constant grip level across temperatures and works well on a wet disc. On a Svartpilen 401 that is carrying a bag over a pass, those two claims matter at the same moment: a descent heats the brake, a shower cools it again, and the lever should not wander in between. The friction material is fitted to the AGPA184 plate, so it slots into the caliper just like the original.
Mountain Passes and Luggage
Coming down a long series of hairpins asks the front brake to work again and again with little time to cool. Add the weight of a rucksack or a pillion and the load grows. The Sintered mix gives the Svartpilen 401 a firm, even response on the tenth bend as well as the first, and it keeps that character when the road is damp under the trees. For riders who do not store the bike over winter, the same steadiness applies on cold, wet commutes.
Look over the disc surface and the pad depth before a longer trip, and top up or replace the brake fluid if it looks dark.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato catalogues AGPA184 for the front caliper of the Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, model years 2017 to 2025, while the rear takes AGPP91. For a softer town feel there is OR, and EV1 for sportier riding. Compare the shape of your used pads with this set and check how many front calipers your Svartpilen 401 uses before ordering.
Road Approval
As no ABE or test mark for AGPA184ST has been provided to us, these pads are sold for racing purposes.
Scope of Delivery
Two Sintered front pads in one box, sufficient for a single caliper.
