DescriptionThe whole story▼
Built between 2014 and 2018, the Honda CTX700N paired cruiser looks with a practical twin-cylinder engine, and many owners kept riding it long after summer ended. This article is the AGPA81 front pad for the CTX700N in Accossato's Sintered (ST) compound. It fits riders who use the CTX700N in every month of the year, face wet roads and chilly mornings, and sometimes ride two-up with a passenger or a set of panniers, where a steady front brake counts.
Key Features
- Front pads for the Honda CTX700N, 2014 to 2018
- Article AGPA81ST: AGPA81 shape in the ST mixture
- Accossato quotes high, constant grip at low and high temperatures
- Keeps good bite on a rain-soaked disc
- Suits all-weather riding, pillion work and luggage
- One box contains a set for a single caliper
- OR is the alternative on the same shape
- No ABE on file; listed for competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's description of ST centres on stability: grip stays high and even whether the pads are cold or warm, and the mixture still bites well when the disc is wet. For a rider that means the lever pressure for a given stop barely changes between a frosty commute and a warm evening. The firm also claims a long life, low wear, strong deceleration and limited heating that holds fade in check.
Autumn Roads and Two-Up Riding
Wet leaves on country lanes, standing water under bridges and damp tar lines all ask for a front brake that behaves the same every time. ST is the CTX700N pad for those conditions. It also suits riders who add a pillion or a pair of bags for a weekend away, because the extra weight makes a predictable pressure point more valuable than a soft initial bite.
Winter riding brings salt and grime, so rinse the caliper and look at the disc surface regularly. Replace pads on both sides of the axle at the same time, keep the brake fluid fresh, and after fitting, pump the lever until full pressure returns. Bed the new pads in with a series of controlled stops.
Fitment and Compatibility
This set fits the front of the Honda CTX700N, model years 2014 to 2018 as listed by Accossato. For the rear of the CTX700N, choose the AGPP185. Please check how many front calipers your bike uses; each box covers one of them.
Road Approval
We have no ABE or approval documents for the AGPA81ST, and so offer it for use in sport and on closed circuits.
