DescriptionThe whole story▼
A Streetfighter V2 955 is a supersport twin with the fairing taken off and a wide handlebar bolted on, which leaves the rider sitting upright in the wind and reaching for the front brake earlier than a faired machine would ask. Accossato lists its AGPA177 pad at that end of this Ducati from 2022 to 2024, and article AGPA177ST is the version pressed with the Sintered friction material, a compound the factory credits with a grip level that stays high and even across temperatures, wet discs included.
Key Features
- Front brake pads for the Ducati Streetfighter V2 955, model years 2022 to 2024
- Article AGPA177ST: the AGPA177 shape carrying the Sintered friction material
- Accossato reports an even grip level from a cold disc and from a warm one
- A wet disc face is treated as ordinary service rather than a special case
- Two calipers grip the front of this Ducati, so that axle takes two boxes
- Slow wear and a long life in service are the aims Accossato sets for its pad range
- The same carrier is also pressed in EV1, EV2 and ZXC for narrower uses
- No German ABE in our files, so the pads go out as competition parts
Construction and Material Quality
Evenness is the quality on offer, not a single impressive figure. Whatever the lever gives on a disc that has stood outside all night should still be there after a run of heavy stops on a warm afternoon, and a wet face ought not to rewrite the answer. The steel carrier behind the friction layer is the ordinary AGPA177 pressing, identical from one suffix to the next, which means a rider choosing Sintered alters what meets the disc and leaves every mounting detail as it was. Slow wear is part of the same argument, and it suits a Streetfighter V2 955 that is used all year instead of being saved for dry Sundays.
The First Stop of the Morning
Every ride starts with the least glamorous work a brake ever does. The discs are at the temperature of the garage, there is damp under the trees where the sun has not reached, and the first junction arrives long before anything has warmed through. That is the moment a rider learns whether the pads answer at once or want a squeeze and a short wait. People who choose this material would rather not think about it at all: the same pull at eight in the morning as at four in the afternoon.
Fitting rewards patience. Work the pistons out a little and wipe them clean before they go home again, since dirt left on a piston will ruin fresh material quicker than any amount of hard riding. Change both sides of an axle at once, glance into the reservoir while the cap is off, run a fingertip over the disc for grooves and keep chain lubricant away from the faces. Scrub a new set in gently over easy roads, then pump the lever solid before the Streetfighter V2 955 is ridden away.
Fitment and Compatibility
Cover at the front opens with the 2022 season and closes with 2024, which is the run Accossato names for the Streetfighter V2 955. Two calipers share that end of the bike and each one wants a box of its own. The rear of the same machine is looked after by the AGPA42 across the identical years, so both ends can be renewed in one session. Two discs are recorded against the model as well, the DK053 and the DKS035. A single pad outline often turns up under machines with nothing else in common, so an order that names the article number is the one that arrives correct.
Road Approval
Neither an ABE nor a German test report for the AGPA177ST has reached our files. The pads are listed for racing and closed-course use, not for the public highway.
Scope of Delivery
One box with two AGPA177 pads in the Sintered material, the set a single caliper needs. The front of the Streetfighter V2 955 runs two calipers, so a complete axle takes a pair of boxes.
