DescriptionThe whole story▼
Rain keeps no timetable, and a Ducati Scrambler Sixty2 that happens to be somebody's only transport goes out in it. The little air-cooled twin, sold between 2016 and 2020, carries a single rotor at the front, so one caliper has to answer for whatever the sky is doing. Accossato presses the AGPA92 pad in its Sintered material as article AGPA92ST and reports a high, steady level of grip from hot discs and cold ones alike, with wet faces included in that description.
Key Features
- Front pads for the Ducati Scrambler Sixty2, 2016 to 2020
- AGPA92ST: the AGPA92 shape carrying the Sintered friction material
- Accossato states an even grip level whether the rotor is warm or stone cold
- Wet roads are treated as ordinary service and not as an exception
- For owners who ride the Sixty2 right through the calendar
- Single front rotor here, so one box fills the caliper
- The article also exists as OR, EV1, EV2 and ZXC on the same plate
- No German ABE documented; sold for racing use
Construction and Material Quality
A flat line, not a tall spike, is what the maker describes here. The pull needed at the lever on a freezing morning ought to be the pull needed after a string of firm stops, and a film of water across the rotor is not meant to rewrite that answer. On a light motorcycle this counts for more than it sounds, since the Sixty2 has little mass with which to press its front tyre into the road and any surprise at the lever arrives fast. Under the friction layer lies the familiar AGPA92 plate, shared by all versions of the article, so nothing about the installation shifts when the surface does.
Through Autumn Without a Second Set
October has a particular flavour for a rider with no car. Leaves lie in the gutter where the wheels want to be, the evening ride home happens in the dark, and the bike stands out under a cover from Friday to Monday. The first stop of such a morning is made on a rotor that is cold and damp at once, which is exactly the moment a rider notices whether a compound has anything to say. A year-round Sixty2 collects hundreds of those first stops.
Winter also asks for a little discipline in the garage. Rinse the salt out of the caliper area before it settles, keep degreaser and chain lubricant away from the rotor faces, and look at what is left of the friction material more often than you would in July. Once the wheel is back in, hold the Scrambler Sixty2 still and squeeze until the lever stops travelling, then take the first few junctions of the ride gently while the fresh surfaces find each other.
Fitment and Compatibility
Cover begins with the 2016 season and closes in 2020, matching the years Ducati offered the model. The pad belongs to the front wheel; the rear of the same Sixty2 is looked after by the AGPP91, listed across the same seasons, and the DK008 appears in Accossato's disc range for this bike. Machines outside those years deserve a lookup of their own rather than an assumption based on the name.
Road Approval
No ABE has been issued to us for the AGPA92ST, and no German inspection paperwork accompanies it. The article is therefore sold as a competition part for track and closed-course riding.
Scope of Delivery
Two AGPA92 pads in the Sintered material, boxed as the set one caliper takes. Since the Sixty2 uses a single front rotor, that one box covers the front axle.
