DescriptionThe whole story▼
Not every small machine is put away when the clocks go back. Riders who use a CFMOTO 125NK to reach work or college carry on through November drizzle and through January mornings when the tarmac is dark and the visor mists at every set of lights, and on days like that the front brake has to give the same reply at seven in the morning as it does on a dry afternoon. Accossato presses its AGPA96 pad in the Sintered (ST) material with that sort of year in mind, and lists the shape for the front wheel of the 125NK in 2024.
Key Features
- Front pads for the CFMOTO 125NK, 2024
- AGPA96ST: the AGPA96 shape carrying the Sintered (ST) friction material
- Accossato describes an even, high grip level when cold and when hot, and a sure answer on a wet disc
- Supplied as two pads, the number one caliper is filled with
- How many boxes you need depends on the calipers on your own front wheel
- Accossato also presses this outline in OR, EV1, EV2 and ZXC
- The rear of the 125NK is covered by the AGPA42 in the same season
- No German ABE documented; supplied for circuit and competition riding
Construction and Material Quality
Steadiness is what the letters ST are meant to buy. Accossato describes a grip level that sits high and stays where it is, cold from a night in the open or hot after a run of firm stops, and says a film of water across the disc does not alter the reply the lever gives. On a machine as light as the 125NK there is not a great deal of mass to slow, so the value lies elsewhere: in knowing precisely what the first part of the lever travel will do when the surface is soaked and a bus is pulling in ahead of you.
Grey Mornings on the Ring Road
Winter riding is a string of small compromises. Diesel sits in a ring around the roundabout, the car ahead throws spray straight onto the disc, and the tyre needs several corners before it feels warm. The answer most commuters arrive at is to brake earlier and in one smooth movement rather than in a series of anxious dabs, and to let the engine take part in slowing the bike between junctions. A 125NK is narrow enough to slip along a queue, but a wet white line under the front wheel while the lever is loaded forgives nothing, so the useful quality in a front pad through winter is not force but repeatability.
Salt and grit make their own demands once the roads have been treated. Wash the front wheel often through the season and rinse the caliper rather than blasting it, since grit driven into the gap between pad and disc grinds away at both. Look at what is left of the material after a wet month, not only at the start of spring. If the pistons have to be pushed back for a new pair, clean them first: a piston shoved home through a crust of winter dirt will drag afterwards, and a dragging front brake on a light bike is felt at every set of traffic lights.
Fitment and Compatibility
The application list ties the AGPA96 to the front wheel of the 125NK in 2024 alone, and Accossato names no earlier or later season for this shape, so owners of other model years should look for a different article number. Pads are replaced as a pair on the axle, both sides in one session, and a single box fills a single caliper: work out how many your front wheel carries before you order. Behind the rider, the AGPA42 covers the rear wheel of the 125NK across that same 2024 listing, while Accossato's disc programme has nothing for this machine.
Road Approval
We hold no test certificate and no German ABE for the AGPA96ST. That places it in the competition section of our range: closed circuits and race use rather than public roads.
Scope of Delivery
