DescriptionThe whole story▼
Panniers, a top box, a pillion and a wet pass are the conditions under which a travel bike shows what it is made of. A BMW F900GS Adventure loaded that way carries a great deal more than it weighs on its own, and every one of those extra kilos has to be taken out of the speed again by the front brake. Accossato's Sintered (ST) material in the AGPA92 pad is meant for exactly this, and is listed for the F900GS Adventure built from 2024 to 2026.
Key Features
- AGPA92ST: front pads in the Sintered (ST) material
- Catalogued for the BMW F900GS Adventure, 2024 to 2026
- Accossato states an even grip level whether the pads are cool or hot
- Rain is part of the same statement
- Made for touring loads, pillions and long descents
- A box is one caliper's set of two pads
- Two front calipers, so two boxes for a full change
- No German ABE documented; intended for the circuit and competition
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's claim for this material is that the same bite is there whether the pads are cool or have been worked hard, and the firm mentions rain in the same breath. A loaded tourer tests both parts of that on one journey. The pads go cold at every coffee stop and then have a mountain descent to deal with an hour later, and somewhere in between there is usually a wet valley road. This mix is also slow to give up its thickness, which is a practical advantage when the bike is a long way from the shop that stocks the spare. Two plates arrive in the box and fill one caliper; nothing else needs to come out of the box for the job.
Two Up and Fully Laden
Loading changes a motorcycle more than most riders allow for. With a passenger behind you and luggage above the rear wheel, the F900GS Adventure sits deeper on its suspension, takes longer to slow, and rewards a rider who plans further ahead. Wet weather sharpens all of that. The first useful habit is to brake earlier and in one continuous squeeze, so that the passenger is not thrown forward against your back and the fork has time to compress; the second is to remember that a laden bike wants more stopping distance on every downhill, not just on the steep ones. Before a long journey it is worth setting the preload for the load you are actually carrying, checking the fluid, and looking at how much friction material is left, because the middle of a holiday is a poor place to discover that the pads are finished. A material that feels the same at the top and the bottom of a pass takes one worry out of a trip that has enough of its own.
Fitment and Compatibility
The Adventure shares its front pad with the standard model: Accossato lists the AGPA92 for the BMW F900GS Adventure from 2024 to 2026. Because one caliper is served by one box, a rider doing the whole axle orders two and changes both sides in the same session, which keeps the braking balanced across the wheel. The same catalogue carries the AGPP91 for the rear of this machine, and the DK006 is its disc entry for the F900GS Adventure.
Road Approval
Our files contain no German ABE for this pad and no approval mark. On that basis it is offered for track days and competition rather than for the road.
Scope of Delivery
One box, two AGPA92 pads in the Sintered (ST) material, together forming the set for one front caliper.
