DescriptionThe whole story▼
Winter trail riding on a Beta RR 125 2T is a wet business. The bike spends its Sunday in standing water, soaked grass and clay, and the front disc is running wet from the first minute to the last. Accossato's answer for those months is the Sintered (ST) material: a level of grip that stays where it is whether the friction face is cold or hot, and that does not disappear when water is thrown across it. The AGPA51 shape carries it onto the front wheel of the RR 125 of 2018 and 2019.
Key Features
- Front pads for the Beta RR 125 2T, 2018 and 2019
- Article number AGPA51ST: the AGPA51 shape in the Sintered (ST) material
- Accossato names an even grip level in cold and heat, and sure behaviour in the wet
- Suited to winter trail riding and to use in every season
- Two pads per box, the pair one caliper needs
- Accossato also offers this shape in the OR, STMX and EV1 materials
- Rear wheel of this Beta: AGPP106, 2018 and 2019
- No German ABE documented; for competition and off-road riding
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato asks the Sintered (ST) material to do one thing above all others, which is to give the same answer every time. Cold at the start of a ride or hot at the bottom of a long drop, wet from a puddle or dry on a stony climb, the grip should sit at a comparable level throughout. On a 125 two-stroke that shows up as confidence at the lever. The rider of such a light machine corrects constantly with small movements, and small movements need a predictable response far more than they need brute force.
Wet Grass, Standing Water, Cold Hands
A winter ride writes its own rules. The first descent of the morning happens on pads that have stood in a cold shed overnight, over ground that is grass with water lying on it. A little further along, the bike drops through a flooded rut and arrives at the next turn with the disc streaming. What the rider wants from that sequence is not more power but fewer surprises, so that a wheel already short of grip is never asked for something it did not expect.
Riding a light two-stroke in such conditions is mostly a matter of smoothness. Set the speed before the slope instead of on it, let the engine hold the bike back on the overrun, and squeeze progressively so the tyre has time to find purchase. When the day is over, rinse the front end while the mud is still soft, dry the disc with two gentle applications on the way back, and satisfy yourself that neither pad has worn down to a sliver. Grit trapped behind a piston is what ruins a caliper on a bike used right through the winter.
Fitment and Compatibility
Two seasons are covered here: the 2018 and the 2019 Beta RR 125. The AGPA51 does not reach beyond them for this model, so a later or earlier machine calls for a different number, and the registration document is the place to settle the question rather than memory. Pads are replaced as a pair and the box supplies exactly that pair. The rear of the same bike takes the AGPP106 in 2018 and 2019, while the Accossato disc range holds nothing for the RR 125 2T.
Road Approval
Nothing in the way of approval paperwork exists for the AGPA51ST in our records, and no German ABE goes with it. These pads therefore belong to the competition side of our catalogue.
Scope of Delivery
One box with two AGPA51 pads in the Sintered (ST) material, which is a single caliper's set.
