Behind a lorry the visor greys over, the surface carries a film of water and diesel, and the front brake of an Aprilia Caponord 1200 has to answer just as it did in the dry that morning. Accossato offers its AGPA177 front pad in a Sintered (ST) compound for riders who treat the 2013 to 2019 Caponord as real transport, in whatever weather the day brings, and who want the lever to feel the same in November as it did in June.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato cuts the AGPA177 to a single shape and then fills it with different friction materials; this article number carries the sintered one. The company's description of that material is brief. Grip stays high and stays even, it says, whether the pads have been standing in a cold car park overnight or have just come down a long gradient, and standing water does not unsettle them. Material of this kind also gives up its thickness slowly, which suits a front brake that is used every day of the year. Each box holds two pads, the quantity one caliper takes.
Behind a Lorry in the Rain
Wet motorway work is less dramatic than a mountain road and awkward in its own way. Water sits on the discs and has to be wiped off by the first light touch of the lever, spray from the vehicle ahead throws grit and road film onto the friction surface, and a Caponord 1200 in that setting is usually carrying luggage, so every reduction in speed costs more than the bare machine would ask. Riders who cover distance in bad weather cover the lever early, squeeze progressively instead of grabbing, and keep enough space to let the engine do part of the work. A material that behaves alike wet and dry removes one variable from that. Keep chain lubricant and tyre dressing away from the discs; either will spoil a wet brake faster than the weather can.
Fitment and Compatibility
The application data puts the AGPA177 at the front of the Aprilia Caponord 1200 built between 2013 and 2019, covering the ETV 1200 Caponord and, from 2016, the machine sold with the Travel Pack. Because the bike stops on two front calipers and one box serves one caliper, a complete front change means ordering twice; pads belong on a wheel as a matched pair of sets, never one side at a time. The same catalogue lists the AGPP91 pad at the rear across the identical years, and the DKS032 floating disc for the front wheel.
Road Approval
No test certificate and no German ABE have reached us for this pad, so there is nothing on file that documents it for public roads. We therefore sell the AGPA177ST for circuit riding and competition.
