DescriptionThe whole story▼
A new YZ125 straight from the dealer still has every lever looking the way the factory intended, and most owners would like to keep it that way through the first few races rather than patch it up with mismatched parts after an early fall. Accossato's AGS294 is a silver clutch lever in the original form, listed for the current 2021 to 2026 YZ125.
Key Features
- Clutch lever in the original form for the Yamaha YZ125
- Accossato lists the AGS294 for 2021 to 2026
- Silver finish
- Left-hand side of the handlebar
- An original spare parts type, priced as a repair rather than a tuning part
- Accossato states increased resistance after damage or a collision
- One lever supplied
- No German ABE or test mark on file; listed for racing and competition
Construction and Material Quality
Being one of the newer codes in Accossato's range, the AGS294 still follows the same approach as the rest of the line: match the clutch lever the YZ125 already carries from the factory and price it for a routine repair rather than an upgrade. The company also states that its manufacturing process leaves these levers more resistant once they have already taken damage. Silver is the only colour listed here, and nothing further about the construction is published, which keeps the part straightforward rather than dressed up as something it is not.
Keeping a Race Bike Looking the Part
A YZ125 fresh out of the crate tends to get the most careful treatment of its whole life in the first few outings, right up until a stalled start or a tip-over in practice puts the first mark on the clutch lever. Because the AGS294 matches the factory shape exactly, a repair does not leave the bike looking patched up in front of the rest of the grid. Fit it with a cleaned, lightly greased pivot, then set the cable's free play to the handbook figure so the clutch behaves the same way it did out of the box.
Fitment and Compatibility
This clutch lever also covers several of the current-generation YZ motocrossers in our range that share the same bar fitting. The brake side of this YZ125 takes the AGD224, and an older clutch lever code, the AGS97, covers earlier production years of the same model rather than this current one. A tuning option for this fitment is listed under B8265 and C7266.
Road Approval
Accossato supplies no approval documents for the AGS294, so no German ABE and no test mark apply to it, and the lever is listed for racing and competition use rather than the public road.
Scope of Delivery
