DescriptionThe whole story▼
A clutch dump off the start gate is one of the harder things asked of any control on a motocross bike, and a 450SX-F sees that moment at the start of every moto for as long as a rider races one. Accossato lists the AGS14 for the KTM 450SX-F from 2013 to 2022, a silver clutch lever in the original form.
Key Features
- Clutch lever in the original form for the KTM 450SX-F
- Accossato's entry covers 2013 to 2022
- Silver
- Left-hand side, hydraulic clutch
- An original spare parts type developed by Accossato for good value
- The maker states its production method improves resistance after damage
- One lever per pack
- No German ABE or test mark; racing and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
The AGS14 follows the form of the clutch lever fitted to the 450SX-F across this long production run, so a repaired bike needs nothing relearned at the bar. Accossato lists it among the original spare parts types it developed for value for money, and reports that the process used to make the levers leaves them more resistant after damage or a collision. The colour given is silver, and nothing further is stated by the manufacturer.
The Moment the Gate Drops
A gate start asks the left hand to do two contradictory things at once: hold the clutch exactly at the point where the bike is about to launch, and let it go the instant the gate falls, cleanly enough to put the power down without spinning the rear wheel away. That moment, repeated every moto across a season, loads the clutch lever harder and more abruptly than almost anything else a 450SX-F is asked to do, and it is often where a lever with the slightest existing bend or a pivot that has lost its smooth action becomes obvious, because the rider has no time to compensate for inconsistent feel. Checking the clutch lever before race day, not just for damage but for a pivot that moves freely and returns the same way every time, is as much a part of grid preparation as checking tyre pressures, since a start is won or lost in less time than it takes to notice a control is not quite right.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato gives the AGS14 for the 450SX-F from 2013 to 2022, with the AGD316 on the brake side for the same years and the newer AGD319 covering 2024 to 2025. Accossato's CNC levers for this model are listed under B8283 and C7283. The AGS14 also appears in our catalogue for the Beta RR 390 4T, the Husqvarna FC 450 and the Husqvarna TC 250.
Road Approval
We hold no approval documents for the AGS14, so neither a German ABE nor a test mark is claimed, and the lever is offered for racing and competition.
