DescriptionThe whole story▼
Watch a quick rider's left hand for one lap and the myth that motocross is about the throttle disappears. The clutch is worked at the gate, on the exit of every slow corner, over the top of a jump face and again in the ruts, which adds up to several hundred movements in a twenty minute race. On a 350SX-F that hand is busy from start to flag. Accossato lists the AGS14 for this machine from 2011 to 2022, a silver clutch lever in the original form.
Key Features
- Clutch lever in the original form for the KTM 350SX-F
- Accossato's entry covers 2011 to 2022
- Silver
- Left of the bar, hydraulic clutch
- One of Accossato's original spare parts types
- The manufacturer states that its process improves resistance after damage
- One lever
- No approval papers on file; racing and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
When a control is used that often, familiarity is the specification. The AGS14 keeps the shape of the clutch lever the 350SX-F was supplied with, so the distance from the grip, the curve under the fingers and the arc of the blade are the ones the rider has trained on, and a repair costs no adjustment period. Accossato developed the range as original spare parts types, with an affordable repair as the aim rather than a change in feel, and reports that the method used to produce the levers leaves them more resistant after damage or a collision. Silver is the listed colour, and nothing more is published.
A Clutch Used in Every Corner
Because the lever is used so much, small faults in it are amplified rather than tolerated. A pivot that is dry adds a little effort to every pull, and a little effort several hundred times is what a tired forearm is made of. A blade bent slightly inwards moves the fingers closer to the grip, so the hand starts to trap itself against the bar at the point where the clutch is needed most. A tip that has broken off is worse again, because the fingers slide off the end exactly when the drive has to be released cleanly. None of these will stop a bike, which is precisely why they get ignored. The habit that prevents all of it is unglamorous: after washing the 350SX-F, take the lever off, clean the bolt and bore, look for play and for wear, grease lightly and refit; replace a blade that is no longer straight rather than living with it. It is also worth thinking about where the lever sits. One finger is enough on a modern clutch, and the blade should be angled so that finger reaches the end of it with the wrist straight and the other three still holding the grip. Riders who set that up properly find that the last third of a race feels different, and it costs nothing but a few minutes with a spanner.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's list gives the AGS14 for the 350SX-F from 2011 to 2022 and names no other original-type clutch lever for the model, while the brake side is covered by the AGD316 from 2014 to 2022. The clutch entry is one of the most widely shared codes in this family and appears in our catalogue for the Beta RR 390 4T, the Husqvarna FC 350 and the Husqvarna TC 250, so a spare may serve more than one bike in the same van. Accossato's CNC levers for the 350SX-F are the B8283 and the C7283.
Road Approval
No test certificate and no German ABE exist for the AGS14 in our records, because Accossato supplied none, and the lever is accordingly offered for racing and competition.
