DescriptionThe whole story▼
A surprising amount of motorcycle maintenance happens standing at the back of a van. The ride is over, the TE 300 is leaning against the tailgate, everyone is muddy and cheerful, and the jobs that get done in that half hour are the ones that would otherwise be forgotten by the following weekend. A clutch lever that collected a knock in the last section is precisely that kind of job. Accossato lists the AGS17 for the TE 300 of 2018 to 2023, a silver clutch lever in the shape of the original.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's original spare parts types are aimed at the rider who wants the bike back rather than a different bike. On the TE 300 the AGS17 carries the outline of the clutch lever fitted at the factory, so the cockpit returns to standard and the left hand meets what it expects. The commercial logic of the range is that a part broken in normal riding should be cheap to replace, and the manufacturer states that the process used to make these levers leaves them more resistant once they have suffered damage or a fall. The listed colour is silver, and Accossato publishes no further technical detail.
At the Tailgate After the Ride
Give yourself twenty minutes before the bike goes in the van and it will pay for itself twice over. Start with the controls while your hands still remember how they felt out on the hill: work both levers through their travel, feel for anything gritty or slow, and look at the angle each one sits at compared with the other. Damage that seemed like nothing when it happened is much more obvious now than it will be next Saturday. If a blade has been twisted, take it off there and then, because a lever removed at the van gets replaced during the week and a lever left on the bike gets ridden for another month. Wipe the pivot clean of the grit that a day's riding has packed in, and if you have grease in the van, put a trace back before the TE 300 is loaded; a pivot left wet and dirty for a week is a pivot that will be worn by the spring. Look at the bar ends and perches too, since they usually tell you more about what actually happened than the rider's memory does. None of this is difficult work, and the reason to do it here rather than at home is simple: at the tailgate it takes twenty minutes, and in a cold garage in February it never happens at all.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato gives the AGS17 for the TE 300 across 2018 to 2023 and the AGS14 for 2014 to 2016, so there is no season on this model where both apply and the year decides. The AGS17 is also catalogued with us for the Husqvarna FE 501, the FX 450 and the TX 125, which makes one spare useful to a rider with more than one of these machines. The brake side of the TE 300 is divided between the AGD316, the AGD14 and the AGD319 by year. Accossato's CNC levers for this bike are the B8283, the C7283 and the C7284.
Road Approval
For the AGS17 we hold no test certificate and no approval document, so neither a German ABE nor a test mark applies. The lever is listed for racing and competition use.
