A supermoto start happens on asphalt, and that changes everything about how the clutch is used. Where a motocross gate gives the rear tyre something to dig into, tarmac gives grip straight away, and the rider has to feed the drive in through the lever while keeping the front wheel down. Riders practise it for hours, which means hours of load through the left hand. Accossato lists the AGS14 for the FS 450 from 2015 to 2021, a silver clutch lever in the original shape.

Construction and Material Quality
For the FS 450 Accossato lists the AGS14 among its original spare parts types, which is to say a clutch lever in the form Husqvarna used, made to repair the bike at a modest price rather than to alter it. The company states that the way these levers are produced leaves them more resistant once they have taken damage or a fall. Accossato gives silver as the colour for this application. It names no material and publishes no measurements, so nothing of that kind appears in this description.
Starts on Tarmac
Launching a supermoto machine well is a matter of timing at the lever rather than of brute revs. The engine is held at a steady speed, the clutch is released to the point where the drive bites, and from there the rider works the lever in small movements to stop the front wheel lifting while the bike accelerates. Repeating that thirty times in an afternoon is normal, and it puts a steady load through the whole left-hand assembly. Two habits keep it working. The first is to let the bike cool between runs and to watch for the take-up point wandering, which is a sign to stop rather than to press on. The second is to check the lever itself before a session: it should move through its full travel with no roughness, return fully under its own spring, and leave at rest the small amount of free play the handbook specifies so the master cylinder piston can come back. A lever that is bent or dragging changes the timing of every launch, and on the FS 450 that is the whole skill.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato covers the FS 450 with the AGS14 from 2015 to 2021, the longest span given for any lever on this model. A second original-type clutch lever, the AGS17, is listed for 2018 and 2019, so on those two seasons both codes appear and the shape of the lever on the bike decides which one is right; compare it with our photographs before ordering.
