DescriptionThe whole story▼
Most crashes happen on the last loop. The legs are tired, the light is going, the arms have stopped absorbing what the front wheel finds, and a section ridden four times already catches the rider out on the fifth. An FE 350 is forgiving enough that the result is usually nothing worse than a bent control and a bruised elbow. Accossato lists the AGS17 for the FE 350 from 2018 to 2023, a silver replacement clutch lever in the original shape.
Key Features
- Original-shape clutch lever for the Husqvarna FE 350
- Listed by Accossato from 2018 to 2023
- Silver
- Left-hand lever, hydraulic clutch
- From Accossato's range of original spare parts types
- Accossato reports greater resistance after a fall, thanks to the way it is made
- One lever per pack
- No approval documents on record; for racing and competition
Construction and Material Quality
There is no trick to the AGS17, and none is claimed. Accossato lists it as an original spare parts type, which means a lever shaped like the one Husqvarna fitted to the FE 350, sold to repair the machine at a sensible price. The company states that the process used to make these levers leaves them more resistant after damage or a fall. Accossato names silver as the colour for this application and gives no other detail, so no material, weight or measurement is quoted here.
The Last Loop of the Day
Fatigue changes riding in ways that are easy to underestimate. Reactions slow, the grip tightens, and a rider who has been standing for three hours starts sitting down in places where standing would be better. The sensible response is not to ride the last loop faster to get it over with, but to plan for it: eat and drink before you are empty, take the pace down a step, and agree with the group that the final loop is the easy one. Whatever happens, look the bike over at the van rather than the following weekend. A clutch lever bent on the last run of the day is the one most likely to be forgotten, because it is dark, everyone is cold and nobody wants to unpack the toolbox. Make a note if you will not do it now, and change the lever before the next ride. Fitting the AGS17 takes minutes: pivot out, bore cleaned and greased, new lever in, the small free play at rest that the manual describes, and a short test before you load up.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGS17 for the FE 350 from 2018 to 2023. The earlier bikes, 2014 to 2016, take the AGS14, and 2017 has no original-type clutch lever on the list. This lever is also catalogued with us for the FC 450, the FE 250 and the FX 450. On the brake side the FE 350 has three codes across its life, the AGD316, the AGD14 and the AGD319. For a tuning part, Accossato offers the CNC clutch levers C7283 and C7284 for this machine.
Road Approval
For the AGS17 we can point to no German ABE and no test mark, since no approval papers reached us with it. The lever is listed for racing and competition.
