DescriptionThe whole story▼
A rider on a brand-new motocross model spends the first sessions learning things an experienced rider usually takes for granted, and the clutch bite point is high on that list. The DESMO450 MX is new enough that even seasoned racers are still working out exactly where it grabs, which means the lever gets used, abused and occasionally bent before anyone has fully adapted to it. Accossato lists the AGS14 for the DESMO450 MX from 2025 to 2026, a silver clutch lever in the original form.
Key Features
- Clutch lever in the original form for the Ducati DESMO450 MX
- Accossato's entry covers 2025 to 2026
- Silver
- Left-hand side of the handlebar, hydraulic clutch
- An original spare parts type rather than a tuning part
- Accossato states its manufacturing process improves resistance after damage
- One lever per pack
- No approval documents held; listed for racing and competition
Construction and Material Quality
The AGS14 keeps to the same idea Accossato applies across its spares programme: the blade matches the shape of the clutch control the DESMO450 MX was delivered with, so the hand finds the same curve in the same place after a repair as it did before. Accossato developed this range to keep an everyday repair affordable rather than turning it into an upgrade purchase, and it states that the process behind these levers leaves them more resistant once they have been damaged or dropped. Silver is the colour listed for this fitment. The maker publishes nothing about weight or material, so neither is claimed here.
Learning Where the Bite Point Sits
On an unfamiliar engine the clutch is worked harder than usual, not because the rider is careless but because feel has to be built up lap by lap. Slipping the clutch out of slow corners, feathering it on a steep face, finding the exact point where the DESMO450 MX's power comes in cleanly, all of that happens through the left hand before it happens anywhere else, and a lever that is the wrong shape or already bent makes the whole process harder to judge. New-platform riders who crash while still learning these things often do so at low speed, picking the bike up and carrying on with a lever that looks fine but has lost its edge, which shows up later as a vague bite point rather than as an obvious fault. Carrying a spare blade from the first weekend removes that variable. A fresh, straight lever gives the same reference every time it is pulled, which matters more than usual on a bike whose clutch behaviour nobody in the paddock has fully mapped out yet.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato gives the AGS14 for the DESMO450 MX from 2025 to 2026 and the AGD316 on the brake side for the same years, so both ends of the bar are covered by a single code each. We have no CNC lever listed for this model. The AGS14 is also catalogued with us for the Beta RR 390 4T, the Husqvarna TE 300 and the Husqvarna FC 450.
Road Approval
Accossato supplied no test or approval documents for the AGS14, so there is no German ABE and no test mark to quote, and the lever is sold for racing and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
