The unexpected thing about a large enduro single is how slowly it will go. A 500EXC-F will walk up a rocky step at an idle that would have a smaller engine stalling, and much of the riding it is used for happens at speeds where the front brake is being used constantly in very small amounts. That is a different job from stopping, and it needs a control that is exactly where the rider expects. Accossato lists the AGD316 for this machine from 2017 to 2023, a silver front brake lever in the original form.

Construction and Material Quality
Fine control comes from a shape the hand already knows. The AGD316 follows the outline of the brake lever the 500EXC-F carries as standard, so the point at which the fingers touch the blade and the leverage they apply to the master cylinder are unchanged after a repair. Accossato describes this part of its catalogue as original spare parts types, developed to keep the cost of a repair sensible, and states that the way these levers are produced leaves them more resistant once they have suffered damage or a collision. Silver is the colour listed for this fitment, and Accossato publishes nothing further about it.
A Big Single at Walking Pace
Riding slowly is harder than riding quickly, and the front brake is central to it. On a steep, technical descent the rider is balancing the machine on a fraction of the available braking, feeding pressure in and out in movements too small to see, and that only works if the blade is straight, the pivot is free and the pressure point arrives in the same place every time. Three faults spoil it. A bent lever changes where the fingers sit and therefore how much travel is available for the fine part of the movement. A pivot with grit in it makes the action slightly notchy, which is unnoticeable at speed and very noticeable at a crawl. And a lever that does not return fully can hold pressure in the system, which on a long descent is how a brake gets hotter than it should. All three are found in a minute and fixed in ten. Take the blade off, clean the bolt and the bore, look for play at the pivot and for marks near it, grease lightly and refit. Check that the wheel turns freely after the brake has been pulled and released. On a 500EXC-F used for slow, technical ground, a control kept in that condition is worth more than any change to the braking system itself.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists two original-type brake levers for the 500EXC-F: the AGD316 for 2017 to 2023 and the AGD319 for 2024, so the model year decides which one to order and there is no overlap to resolve. The clutch side is covered by the AGS14 from 2017 to 2023.
