DescriptionThe whole story▼
Motocross tracks after rain are hard on everything that moves. Mud packs into the wheels, the chain and the radiators of a GasGas MC 250F, and the fine grit that comes with it finds its way into every joint, including the pivot of the front brake lever. A lever that feels stiff or sticks after a wet weekend is often full of it, and a lever that was bent in a fall on a slippery track will not be saved by cleaning. For the MC 250F of 2023 to 2026, Accossato lists the AGD319, a silver brake lever of the original type.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato keeps its claims for the AGD319 simple. The lever is an original-type spare for GasGas and Husqvarna models, intended to restore the bike's original style, and the company states that it replaces the stock part without any difference in ergonomics or resistance. On the MC 250F that means the right hand finds the lever where it expects it. Its colour is silver. Accossato does not publish further technical information for this lever, and so neither do we.
Grit in the Pivot
The pivot is where the lever turns, and it only works well when it is clean and lightly greased. Mud and sand work into it on every wet ride, and a pressure washer used carelessly drives them further in. After a muddy weekend, take the time to look after it. With the MC 250F on its stand, remove the lever, clean the pivot and the bore it sits in, and wipe away any old grease that has turned grey with grit. Check the lever itself for bends and for play: one that wobbles on its pivot or no longer lines up with the grip is ready to be replaced. Apply a thin film of fresh grease, refit the lever and check that it moves freely and returns on its own. Make sure it acts cleanly on the master cylinder piston and that the free play is as the handbook states. Finish by squeezing the brake several times and checking that the pressure point is firm. Next time you wash the bike, keep the jet at a distance from the lever and never aim it straight into the pivot.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGD319 for the MC 250F from 2023 to 2026. We also list the same lever for the MC 450F and the EC 300, and for Husqvarna's FE 250 enduro. Please compare our product photo with the lever on your MC 250F before ordering, especially if the bike is from a model year outside the list.
Road Approval
The AGD319 has no ABE or test mark on file with us, and we therefore offer it for use in racing and competition.
