DescriptionThe whole story▼
Steep climbs are where many riders of the GasGas EC 300 go looking for a challenge, and steep climbs are also where many of them fall. A two-stroke 300 has the pulling power for hard enduro, but when the rear tyre loses grip halfway up a rocky slope, the bike stops and gravity takes over. More often than not the rider ends up beside the bike, and the bike on its side, sometimes sliding back down the hill. Levers rarely survive that intact. For the EC 300 of 2024 to 2026, Accossato offers the AGD319, a silver brake lever of the original type.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's own description of the AGD319 is short and practical. It is an original-type spare for GasGas and Husqvarna models, meant to bring the bike back to its original style, and in the company's words it can replace the original part without any difference in ergonomics or resistance. After a failed climb, that is what the rider of an EC 300 needs: the same lever, back where it was, so that the next attempt feels like the last one. The colour is silver. Accossato gives no further details, and we add none of our own.
When the Climb Fails
Experienced hard enduro riders decide early when a climb is lost. Rather than fighting the EC 300 all the way back down, they stop it while the tyres still have some grip, hold it on the brakes and let it down in a controlled way, ideally with the help of a friend. Turning a bike round on a steep slope takes practice, and it is much easier and safer with two people. Before restarting, look at the controls. The brake lever is especially exposed if the bike has come down on its right side or slid back over rocks. A bent lever may still work, but not as before, and on the way down a steep slope the front brake is the part you depend on most. Change it at the top or at the bottom, wherever the ground is flat enough to work. Clean the pivot, give it a thin film of grease, fit the new lever and check the pressure point with the bike standing still before the next descent. The old lever goes in the rucksack for the bin, not back onto the bike.
Fitment and Compatibility
On Accossato's list the AGD319 is given for the EC 300 from 2024 to 2026. At Inter-Pace the same lever is also catalogued for Husqvarna's TE 300 and FE 450 and for the KTM 500 EXC-F. Compare the product photo with the brake lever on your EC 300 before ordering, particularly if your bike is from a year outside the list.
Road Approval
For the AGD319 there is neither an ABE nor a test mark in our hands. Inter-Pace lists it for competition and racing.
