DescriptionThe whole story▼
A pillion seat is part of the F 700 GS, and many trips on BMW's road-oriented middleweight GS are made two-up. The most awkward moment of such a ride comes before it starts: the passenger climbs on, the bike rocks, and the rider holds everything steady with the front brake. On sloping or loose ground that is a delicate balance, and when it goes wrong, the brake lever is usually the first part to meet the ground. Accossato's AGD306 is a black replacement brake lever in original form, listed for the F 700 GS from 2013 to 2018.
Key Features
- Original-type replacement brake lever for the BMW F 700 GS
- Listed by Accossato for 2013 to 2018

- Developed by Accossato with value for money in mind
- Accossato attributes greater resilience after damage or a crash to its manufacturing process
- One lever in the pack
- No German ABE or test certificate on record; sold for racing use
Construction and Material Quality
There is not much that Accossato says about the AGD306, and we would rather tell you so than fill the gap with guesses. It is a spare built in the pattern of the original lever, which keeps the right-hand controls of the F 700 GS looking the way BMW designed them. Accossato developed the range to be good value for money. Its second claim concerns durability: according to the manufacturer, the process by which these levers are made leaves them better able to cope after a knock or a spill. The colour is black, as Accossato's list gives it for this bike.
When the Passenger Climbs On
Most two-up tip-overs happen at a standstill, and they follow a familiar script. The passenger puts a foot on the peg and swings a leg over while the rider is still adjusting a mirror, the weight arrives suddenly on one side, and on a camber or on gravel the bike follows it. A fixed routine prevents most of this. The rider sits on the F 700 GS first, with both feet planted, the bike upright and the front brake held firmly, and only then gives the signal. The passenger steadies themselves with a hand on the rider's shoulder, climbs on in one smooth movement and sits down gently; getting off at the end works the same way in reverse. Luggage goes on before anyone climbs aboard, not afterwards. If the bike does go over, look at the brake lever before you ride on. A lever that is even slightly bent belongs in the bin, not in a vice.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato gives two black brake levers for the F 700 GS, and the model year is the easiest way to choose. For a bike from 2016, 2017 or 2018, the AGD306 is the only one on the list; it is named for the ABS versions of 2013 to 2016 and 2017 to 2018. For 2013 to 2015 there is also the AGD305, so compare both product photos with the lever on your F 700 GS, paying attention to its overall shape, before you order. With us, the AGD306 is additionally listed for the F 800 GS, the F 800 GT and the F 800 R. For the left side, the black AGS299 covers the same years, and Accossato's CNC levers EDB001 and ESB008 are there for anyone who wants a tuning part.
Road Approval
No German ABE and no test mark are documented for this lever. Inter-Pace therefore offers the AGD306 for use in racing and competition.
