DescriptionThe whole story▼
Look at enough used Dorsoduro 1200s and a pattern appears at the right-hand grip: a front brake lever that is bent, scraped or shorter than it ought to be. Aprilia's big supermoto-styled V-twin, built from 2011 to 2016, invites lively riding on narrow roads, and a tall bike ridden that way gets dropped now and then. If the one you have just bought came with such a souvenir, Accossato's AGD210 puts it right. It is a silver brake lever in original shape, made as an affordable replacement rather than an upgrade.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes the AGD210 as an original spare parts type. Put simply, it follows the form of the lever the Dorsoduro 1200 was delivered with, so your fingers find it where they expect to and the cockpit looks unchanged. The Piedmontese company developed the range to give good value rather than a new look, and it states that the process used to make these levers leaves them more resistant after damage or a fall. The AGD210 is silver. Accossato publishes nothing more about it, and we do not fill the gaps with guesses.
What a Bent Lever Tells a Buyer
A lever is a cheap part with a lot to say. When you view a used Dorsoduro 1200, look at both ends of the handlebar before anything else. A brake lever that is bent, scuffed at the tip or broken short means the bike has been on its right side at some point, most often in a harmless tip-over while parking. It is still worth following the trail: check the bar end, the mirror, the footpeg and the engine cover on the same side, and ask the seller what happened. If everything else is in order, the lever is the easy part of the deal. Resist the idea of bending the old one back into line. A lever that has been bent and straightened can crack later without warning, which is why a damaged brake lever is replaced, not repaired.
Fitment and Compatibility
On Accossato's application list the AGD210 covers the Dorsoduro 1200 from 2011 to 2016, with the ABS version of 2011 given a line of its own. At Inter-Pace the same lever is also listed for the Tuono V4 R. Anyone who would rather move away from the standard shape can look at Accossato's CNC brake lever EDB080, catalogued for this bike too, while the clutch side has the CNC clutch levers ESC080 and LV008. Before ordering, hold the old lever up to our product photos and compare the curve of the blade.
Road Approval
We have no test certificate or approval document, such as a German ABE, for the AGD210, and therefore offer it for racing and competition use.
