DescriptionThe whole story▼
Accossato's PBK01 is the rear brake reservoir cover listed for the Kawasaki KX250F across an even longer span than its front-end partner, 2004 to 2020. It closes over the rear brake fluid reservoir, replacing the factory part once that one has cracked or faded from stone chips over a season of racing.
Key Features
- Rear brake reservoir cover for the Kawasaki KX250F, 2004 to 2020
- Accossato code PBK01, closes the rear brake fluid reservoir
- Available in blue, green or gold
- Same part also listed for the Kawasaki KX450F and several Yamaha motocrossers
- Accossato also offers a front brake reservoir cover, ABK01, and an oil filter cover for this bike
- No German ABE on file; built for off-road and competition riding
Construction and Material Quality
The PBK01 closes directly over the KX250F's rear brake reservoir in place of the factory part; the same code also reaches the Kawasaki KX450F and several Yamaha motocrossers, as shown below. Blue, green and gold all seal the reservoir the same way, so the decision is cosmetic only. A chip that's worked into a proper crack is the point at which this cover stops doing its job and needs swapping.
A Cover for the Bike's Whole Working Life
Running the same shape across a span this wide means the PBK01 suits a KX250F fresh out of the crate just as well as one that's seen a decade and a half of racing. An owner picking up an older bike secondhand doesn't need to worry about tracking down a discontinued version; the current listing covers it. Fitting a fresh one whenever the old cover looks tired is as straightforward on a 2005 bike as on a recent one.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's own list spans the KX250F's full 2004-to-2020 production under the PBK01. The same cover also fits the Kawasaki KX450F, as well as the Yamaha YZ125, YZ250, YZ250F and YZ450F, so a workshop running several of these bikes across brands needs only this one part. Checking the exact build year against that list before ordering remains worth doing.
Road Approval
No German ABE is on file for the PBK01, so Accossato lists it for off-road and competition use rather than for use on public roads.
Scope of Delivery
