DescriptionThe whole story▼
City riders on a Kawasaki ER-6N use the rear brake more than most: to crawl through queues, to hold the bike on a slope and to steady it at slow speed. Accossato's AGPP102 rear pad in Organic mixture fits the ER-6N from 2006 to 2016 and is aimed at those riders. It offers a quiet, progressive rear brake that is gentle on the disc and easy to control in traffic.
Key Features
- Rear pads AGPP102 for the Kawasaki ER-6N, 2006 to 2016
- Organic mixture, SKU AGPP102OR
- Accossato cites long life and reduced disc wear
- Progressive pedal feel at low speed
- Quiet operation in town
- ST version also offered
- Front calipers take AGPA95 and AGPA94
- No ABE on file; for track use
Construction and Material Quality
The Organic compound, says Accossato, provides longer-lasting performance and limits disc wear. For a rear brake that is used frequently but lightly, this means fewer pad changes and a disc that keeps its condition. Accossato also claims its pads keep heat under control so that fading is limited, while giving strong stopping force. The block is bonded to the AGPP102 plate.
Slow-Speed Control in the City
Walking-pace manoeuvres are easier on an ER-6N when the rider drags the rear brake lightly with a little throttle, a technique used by many instructors. A soft, predictable rear pad makes that easier, since the pedal response stays proportional and does not grab.
City bikes rarely get their rear brake inspected until it squeals. Make a habit of glancing through the caliper opening whenever the ER-6N chain gets its lube, and wipe away any spray that has drifted onto the rotor. The small rear reservoir is easy to forget; its fluid should look clear, not brown.
Riding schools often recommend practising slow figure-of-eight turns in a car park to build confidence. On an ER-6N, the rear brake is central to that exercise, and a pad with a soft, even response makes it far less tiring to repeat.
Fitment and Compatibility
AGPP102 is Accossato's rear pad for the Kawasaki ER-6N 650, 2006 to 2016. The front calipers of the ER-6N take AGPA95 on the left and AGPA94 on the right. The box contains one set for the rear caliper. Accossato does not divide the ER-6N rear by model year, so the same pad covers the whole period, but compare old and new pads before fitting.
Road Approval
We hold no ABE or German approval certificate for AGPP102OR. The pads are sold for competition purposes.
Scope of Delivery
