DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Scrambler Classic takes the same basic machine and looks backwards with it: spoked wheels, a seat with a period shape, paintwork and brightwork chosen to suggest an older decade. On a bike built around that idea, anodised parts need choosing with a little thought, because the wrong shade in the wrong place undoes the effect the whole motorcycle is aiming at. Accossato's TS012, the cap for the rear brake fluid reservoir, comes in seven colours and includes the quiet ones.

Construction and Material Quality
Machining in aluminium and colouring by anodising is Accossato's method for the TS012, and the seven finishes are blue, green, black, orange, red, silver and gold. Anodised colour sits in the surface of the metal and does not flake at an edge, which matters on a component mounted where road spray reaches it. The cap is made for the reservoir fitted to the machines in the application list, meaning the rear brake of a Scrambler Classic keeps every part it came with except the one on top. The diaphragm beneath the original cap deserves a glance while everything is open, and renewal if it is no longer supple.
A Discreet Colour for a Period Look
Silver is the safe answer here, black the invisible one and gold the choice with the longest history on motorcycles of this character; red, orange, blue and green are all available and all more assertive. Whatever you decide, the job runs the same way. Stand the Scrambler Classic upright so the rear reservoir is horizontal, then clean its top and the surrounding area before any fastener is touched, because whatever sits there will otherwise end up in the fluid. Lay a cloth over nearby paint and keep water at hand, as brake fluid damages lacquer and there is no way to undo it later. Check the level between the marks and look at the colour of what is in the reservoir. Brake fluid takes moisture from the air as the years go by, so the interval in the owner's manual applies even to a bike that covers modest distances. Fit the TS012, tighten gently, work the pedal several times, and give the whole rear end a last wipe before the machine goes back on its stand.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the TS012 for the rear reservoir of the Scrambler Classic from 2015 to 2018. The cap takes the place of the original; the reservoir itself is not affected. Where the rear master cylinder has been changed, the maker's application list is the reference before an order is placed. The same part appears in our catalogue for the Diavel 1260, the Hypermotard 821 and Benelli's TRK 502, which is a good indication of how widely this style of reservoir has been used.
Road Approval
Since no German ABE and no test marking for the TS012 are documented here, the cap is listed for racing and competition only.
