DescriptionThe whole story▼
A fallen log across a trail forces a choice on the TE 250: ride over it cleanly, or catch the rear wheel against the bark as the bike clears it at an awkward angle. Even a well-judged crossing can leave the disc brushing against rough timber for a moment, and a badly judged one can mean a much harder knock. For the TE 250 built between 2014 and 2017, Accossato's PDP01N guard takes that contact instead of the disc itself.
Key Features
- Rear brake disc guard for the Husqvarna TE 250, 2014 to 2017
- Accossato part PDP01N, described by Accossato as standard protection for the rear disc
- One guard in the pack, fitted over the rear brake disc area
- Meant to shield the disc from logs, roots and obstacle crossings
- No material, thickness or fixings specified by Accossato for this guard
- Also listed in our shop for several other Husqvarna models and the KTM 125EXC
- No German ABE on file; listed for racing and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes the PDP01N as standard protection for the rear disc and nothing more specific, naming no material, thickness or fixing method, and this listing keeps strictly to that. One guard is included, built to sit over the TE 250's rear disc and absorb the scrape of a log or a root edge during an obstacle crossing rather than let the disc bear that contact directly.
Obstacle Crossings on Technical Trails
Fallen timber, embedded roots and awkward step-ups are routine on technical enduro trails, and the TE 250's rear wheel brushes past or over this kind of obstacle on almost every ride. Each crossing is a small risk to the rear disc on its own, but added together across a season of trail riding they're a real source of wear, and a guard fitted from the start means that wear lands on a replaceable part instead of on the disc.
Fitment and Compatibility
Husqvarna built this TE 250 generation for a relatively short window, 2014 to 2017, so confirming your exact year matters more here than on some longer-running models in this range. The smaller TE 125 and the larger TE 300 both use this same PDP01N guard, which again points to a rear brake mounting point that Husqvarna kept common across its two-stroke enduro line-up. The related KTM 125EXC takes the identical part too.
Road Approval
Accossato supplies no German ABE or similar approval document for the PDP01N, so we list this guard for racing and competition use on the TE 250 rather than for road use.
Scope of Delivery
One rear brake disc guard for the TE 250, as described by Accossato; no further fixings or hardware are stated as included.
