DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Accossato 19x20 is the firmest-pulling clutch master cylinder in this batch, combining the largest standard piston, 19 mm, with the longest fixed pivot, 20 mm, a setting Accossato explicitly does not recommend for road use because of the extra hand force it demands. Built from natural anodised aluminium in Italy and fitted with a fixed, non-folding lever, it is aimed at track-only applications where the shortest possible lever stroke before the clutch disengages matters more than a light, road-friendly pull. It is listed against 59 motorcycles in our fitment data.
Key Features
- 19 mm piston diameter, the largest standard size in the clutch range
- Fixed 20 mm lever pivot, the most ready version, not recommended for road use
- Fixed lever, long version, with relieving eyelet (RST)
- CNC-machined aluminium body with natural anodising
- Offset riser that reduces flex of the clutch master cylinder under load
- Passive lever stroke cut by more than 50 percent against a standard radial master cylinder
- Stainless steel mounting screws and a galvanised steel bleed valve
- Seals manufactured from Formula 1 compound material
Construction and Material Quality
This clutch master cylinder is machined in Italy from an aluminium billet and natural anodised, with stainless steel screws, a galvanised steel bleed valve and Formula 1 compound seals making up the rest of the specification, chosen to cope with the heat and fluid exposure of track use. An offset riser is built into the mounting clamp to cut down on flex of the body while the clutch is worked hard, and the internal bore is shaped to keep the passive lever stroke as short as the fixed 20 mm pivot allows.
Why Accossato Does Not Recommend This Setting for the Road
With the same hand force applied, a longer distance between the pivot point and the pumping axis means a shorter lever stroke but a greater amount of force needed to actuate the clutch; at 20 mm this is the longest, most ready pivot distance Accossato offers on a standard 19 mm clutch piston, and the firmer pull that comes with it is the reason the manufacturer does not recommend the setting for everyday road use. On track, where the rider is already gripping hard and wants the shortest possible lever movement before the plates separate for a fast gear change, that same trade-off is the point of choosing this combination over a shorter, softer pivot distance.
Fitment and Compatibility
59 motorcycles are listed against this clutch master cylinder in our fitment data, spanning Aprilia, BMW, Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki, including the Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 RR (2015-2018), BMW S1000RR (2009-2018), Ducati Streetfighter V4 (2020-2021), Honda CBR 1000 RR (2008-2019) and Kawasaki ZX-10 RR (2016-2021). The full list of confirmed motorcycles, with exact model years, is published in the Fitment tab on this page; check it against your own registration before ordering.
Road Approval
This clutch master cylinder is not supplied with German road-approval documentation; it is intended for track and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
The package includes the Accossato 19x20 radial clutch master cylinder fitted with a long fixed lever and relieving eyelet (RST), finished in natural anodised aluminium. Stainless steel mounting screws, the galvanised steel bleed valve and the Formula 1 compound seals are assembled on the unit. The brake light switch, available separately as ID001 or ID002, and the fluid reservoir are not included and must be purchased separately.
