The Accossato 16x18 clutch master cylinder pairs the mid-range 16 mm piston with a fixed 18 mm pivot distance, a setting Accossato rates for track use and also recommends for the road, giving a firmer, more direct clutch bite than the softer 16 mm pivot option. It suits sport-touring and larger-displacement machines where the clutch takes real load on acceleration out of corners. The long folding lever, with a relieving eyelet, is offered in seven colours on a CNC-machined, black anodised body made in Italy.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato machines the body of this clutch master cylinder from aluminium and finishes it with black anodising in Italy, using the same process across the range. The screws are stainless steel, the bleed valve is galvanised steel, and the seals are moulded from Formula 1 compound to resist heat and clutch fluid over extended use. A riser built off-set into the clamp stops the unit flexing as the lever is pulled through repeated gear changes, and the passive stroke, the travel before the clutch plates begin to separate, is cut by more than half compared with a standard radial master cylinder.
A Firmer Pivot for a Firmer Bite
Where the 16x16 clutch master cylinder in this range is tuned for the lightest possible lever pull, this 16x18 version uses the same 16 mm piston but moves the pivot distance out to 18 mm, the setting Accossato rates for track use while also recommending it for the road. The longer pivot distance asks for a touch more hand force than the 16 mm option, but delivers a shorter, more direct lever stroke and a clearer sense of exactly where the clutch starts to bite, something riders feel most when accelerating hard out of a corner or working through gears quickly. The long folding lever and relieving eyelet keep the control compact, and the firmer pivot setting is what separates this unit's feel from its softer-pulling 16x16 sibling.

Scope of Delivery
The package contains the Accossato CL031 radial master cylinder complete with the long folding lever with relieving eyelet (RST), in the lever colour selected, and the matching colour-anodised adjusting knob. Stainless steel mounting screws and the galvanised bleed valve are fitted; the stop light switch and fluid reservoir are not included and are ordered separately (switch under code ID001 or ID002, reservoir as a standalone item).
