DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Accossato PRS 19x17-18-19 with integrated fluid reservoir folds the brand's adjustable-ratio dual-disc master cylinder and its oil reservoir into a single forged aluminium body, recommended for everyday street use. The 19 mm piston suits dual-disc front brakes, and the pivot distance can be set to 17, 18 or 19 mm depending on the situation of use, while the folding lever, the adjusting knob and the reservoir cover all come in the same one of seven colours, giving a coordinated look without a separate reservoir kit to fit.
Key Features
- 19 mm piston diameter, suitable for dual-disc braking systems
- Adjustable lever pivot distance: 17, 18 or 19 mm, suited to all uses
- Integrated fluid reservoir built into the master cylinder body
- Folding lever, short or long, with or without a relieving eyelet
- Adjusting knob and reservoir cover colour-matched to the lever
- Sight marker on the reservoir to check oil quantity at a glance
- Offset riser that reduces master cylinder deflection under braking
- Stainless steel mounting screws and a zinc-plated bleed valve
Construction and Material Quality
The body of this master cylinder is forged aluminium, while the cover and the lever are CNC worked, a combination Accossato uses specifically for the units that carry their reservoir built in rather than bolted on as a separate kit. The mounting screws are stainless steel, the bleed valve is zinc-plated steel, and the seals are manufactured from Formula 1 compound to withstand repeated heat cycles and fluid exposure. An off-set riser limits bending of the unit under hard braking, and the same passive-stroke-reducing geometry used across the Accossato radial brake range keeps the gap between pulling the lever and the pads biting as short as practical.
An Integrated Reservoir, Not a Separate Kit
Where most Accossato radial brake master cylinders ship with the reservoir as an optional, separately purchased part, this PRS 19x17-18-19 version builds the fluid reservoir directly into the body, with a sight marker on the side so the oil level can be checked without removing a cap. Accossato recommends this configuration for street use rather than pure track riding, and pairs it with the same adjustable 17, 18 or 19 mm pivot distance used on the PRS units elsewhere in the range, so the lever feel can still be tuned between a lighter touring setting and a firmer, more direct one. A mirror holder is available separately in two CNC-worked versions, MH007 and MH008, for riders who want to relocate their mirror away from the reservoir body.
Fitment and Compatibility
No vehicle list or fitment entries are published for this master cylinder; it is a universal 19 mm radial brake master cylinder sized for a 22 mm handlebar clamp. Before buying, confirm your handlebar measures 22 mm at the clamp, that your brake system is built to work with a 19 mm master cylinder, and that your front brake uses a dual-disc setup.
Road Approval
This master cylinder is not supplied with German road-approval documentation; it is intended for track and competition use.
