DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Accossato PK021 is a radial brake master cylinder for dual-disc front brakes, built with its own integrated fluid reservoir rather than a separate tank, so the colour-matched cover, adjusting knob and oil level marker all sit on the unit itself. The 19 mm piston is matched to a fixed 18 mm lever pivot distance that Accossato rates for track use and also recommends for street riding, while the long folding lever with relieving eyelet is available in seven colours to match the rest of the bike. This version is confirmed against the Ducati Desert X and the Ducati Scrambler Icon in our fitment data.
Key Features
- 19 mm piston diameter, suitable for dual-disc braking systems
- Fixed 18 mm lever pivot distance, for track use and also recommended for street use
- Integrated fluid reservoir with a colour-matched cover, adjusting knob and oil level marker
- Folding lever, long version, with relieving eyelet (RST), seven colours available
- Forged aluminium body with a CNC-worked cover and lever
- Offset riser that reduces bending of the master cylinder while braking
- Stainless steel mounting screws and a zinc-plated bleed valve
- Seals manufactured from Formula 1 compound material
Construction and Material Quality
The body of this master cylinder is forged aluminium, while the cover and the lever itself are CNC worked, a combination Accossato uses on the integrated-reservoir versions of the radial brake range to keep the reservoir, knob and cover all finished in the same colour as the lever. The mounting hardware follows the same specification as the rest of the lineup: stainless steel screws, a zinc-plated bleed valve and seals made from Formula 1 compound. An offset riser limits how much the unit flexes under hard braking, and the internal geometry is shaped so that pulling the lever cuts the passive stroke, the gap before the pads actually bite, by more than half compared with a conventional radial master cylinder.
Why This Version Has Only Two Confirmed Fitments
The piston and pivot combination on this master cylinder, 19 mm matched to a fixed 18 mm distance, is shared across several Accossato part numbers, but the mounting geometry and hose routing that let a given code bolt straight onto a specific motorcycle without extra brackets are not identical across every model it could technically clamp onto. For the PK021, Accossato confirms a direct fit on the Ducati Desert X and the Ducati Scrambler Icon; riders on other 19 mm dual-disc machines with a 22 mm handlebar clamp may still find the unit compatible but should check their own setup rather than assume it from the piston size alone.
Fitment and Compatibility
This master cylinder is listed against 2 motorcycles in our fitment data: the Ducati Desert X (2022-2024) and the Ducati Scrambler Icon (2015-2024). The complete list, with exact model years, sits in the Fitment tab on this page; check it against your own registration before ordering.
Road Approval
This master cylinder is not supplied with German road-approval documentation; it is intended for track and competition use.
