DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Accossato 19x18 with a colourful fixed lever for 1-inch handlebars carries the same dual-disc 18 mm ratio as its folding-lever sibling, but in a rigid, one-piece lever body finished in one of seven colours alongside the adjusting knob and reservoir cover. Built for the 25.4 mm clamp fitted to Harley-Davidson Touring and Softail bars, the 19 mm piston suits dual-disc front brakes, and the pivot distance is set at 18 mm, a ratio Accossato rates for track use and recommends equally for the road.
Key Features
- 19 mm piston diameter, suitable for dual-disc braking systems
- 18 mm lever pivot distance for track use, also recommended for street riding
- Built for 1-inch (25.4 mm) handlebar clamps
- Fixed lever available in seven colours, long or short
- Body in black anodised aluminium
- Adjusting knob and reservoir cover colour-matched to the lever
- Stainless steel mounting screws and a zinc-plated bleed valve
- Seals manufactured from Formula 1 compound material
Construction and Material Quality
The body is forged aluminium in a black anodised finish, assembled in Italy with the hardware common to every Accossato radial brake master cylinder: stainless steel screws, a zinc-plated bleed valve and seals made from Formula 1 compound. An off-set riser sits in the mounting clamp to reduce bending of the unit under hard braking, and the internal shape keeps the passive stroke, the lever travel before the pads bite, more than 50 percent shorter than on a conventional radial master cylinder.
A Fixed Lever in Colour at 18 mm
This version pairs the same 18 mm pivot distance used on the PC003 fixed-lever unit, rated for track use and recommended equally for the street, with a lever available in seven colours rather than black alone, so the fixed-lever design and the colour options are no longer mutually exclusive on this ratio. The adjusting knob and reservoir cover change with the lever colour, giving a coordinated look at the handlebar, while the 19 mm piston underneath keeps the dual-disc braking behaviour identical to every other 18 mm unit in the 1-inch range, whether fixed or folding, black or coloured. The long or short reach option is unaffected by the colour choice.
