DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Accossato 14x19 keeps the scooter-suited 14 mm piston of the 14x18 but steps the pivot distance up to 19 mm, a setting Accossato places between its track and street recommendations as a mixed-use option. That gives a slightly firmer, more direct lever feel than the 18 mm version without moving fully into the track-only territory of the 20 mm setting further up the range. The fixed, long lever carries a relieving eyelet, the body is natural anodised aluminium, and the lever is available in a choice of colours with a matching knob.
Key Features
- 14 mm piston diameter, suggested for scooters and smaller motorcycles
- 19 mm fixed lever pivot distance for mixed track and street use
- Fixed lever, long version, with a relieving eyelet (RST)
- Lever supplied in a choice of colours, with a matching adjusting knob
- CNC-machined aluminium body with a natural anodised finish
- Offset riser that limits master cylinder flex under hard braking
- Passive lever stroke reduced by more than 50 percent versus a standard radial master cylinder
- Stainless steel mounting screws, zinced bleed valve and Formula 1 compound seals
Construction and Material Quality
Every Accossato 14 mm master cylinder, this one included, is machined from forged aluminium on CNC equipment in Italy and finished in natural anodising. The screws are stainless steel, the bleed valve is zinced steel, and Formula 1 compound seals are fitted to resist the heat and chemical wear that come from frequent braking. An offset riser in the clamp reduces how far the body bends under load, and the internal geometry more than halves the passive stroke against a conventional radial unit of the same bore. The M10x1 hose thread is shared with every other master cylinder Accossato makes.
The 19 mm Pivot: Built for Mixed Track and Street Use
Accossato positions the 19 mm pivot distance as a mixed track and street setting, sitting between the balanced 18 mm figure and the firmer, track-only 20 mm option used elsewhere in the 14 mm range. With the same 14 mm piston as the 14x18, the amount of fluid moved for a given lever pull does not change; what shifts is the leverage ratio, giving a marginally more direct, less sprung feel at the lever without asking for the extra hand force that the 20 mm pivot requires. Riders who split their time between occasional track days and road use, rather than one or the other exclusively, are the group this particular pivot distance is aimed at.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato does not publish a fitment list for this master cylinder; like the rest of the 14 mm family, it is a universal unit sized to a 22 mm handlebar clamp. Measure your own clamp diameter first, confirm your brake system is designed for a 14 mm piston, and check the calliper and disc setup already fitted before buying.
Road Approval
This master cylinder is not supplied with German road-approval documentation; it is intended for track and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
The package includes the Accossato 14x19 radial brake master cylinder fitted with the fixed, long lever with relieving eyelet, in the colour selected, together with the matching mounting nut. Stainless steel mounting screws, the zinced bleed valve and the Formula 1 compound seals are assembled on the unit. The stop light switch, available separately as ID001 or ID002, and the fluid reservoir are not included and must be purchased separately.
