DescriptionThe whole story▼
This updated Accossato 10.5 mm radial brake master cylinder keeps the integrated reservoir and offroad, scooter and pitbike focus of the earlier version but switches to a jointed lever without a relieving eyelet (NRST), available in seven colours, and adds a front adjuster so the distance between the lever and the handlebar can be set with a simple twist. Accossato also lists a full set of spare parts for this unit, from the bleed valve to the lever pin, making it straightforward to keep running long term.
Key Features
- 10.5 mm piston diameter, recommended for offroad motorcycles, scooters and pitbikes
- Jointed lever without a relieving eyelet (NRST), available in seven colours
- Front adjuster for setting lever-to-handlebar distance by hand
- Integrated fluid reservoir built into the master cylinder body
- Forged aluminium pump body with a CNC-machined cover and lever
- Offset U-bolt mounting hardware in galvanised steel
- Full spare parts range listed, down to the bleed valve, lever pin and bushing
- Recommended with an Accossato brake hose kit and Accossato Racing brake oil
Construction and Material Quality
As with the rest of this offroad-focused line, the pump body is forged aluminium while the cover and lever are CNC machined for accuracy. The U-bolt that clamps the unit to the handlebar is offset and made from galvanised steel, and the hose connection uses the same M10x1 thread found across the Accossato range. Accossato publishes an extensive spares list for this particular version, covering the bleed valve, the U-bolt itself, the lever adjustment knob and pin, the oil compensation seal, the master cylinder cap, the safety clip, the lever pin, the bushing, the lever cog holder, the recoil cover and the tray gasket, so individual parts can be replaced rather than the whole unit.
What Changes With the Jointed Lever and Front Adjuster
Rather than the folding lever fitted to the earlier 10.5 mm version, this unit uses a jointed, articulated lever supplied without a relieving eyelet, described by Accossato as the NRST configuration. A front adjuster built into every unit lets the gap between the lever and the handlebar grip be set with a simple twist, so the reach can be matched to the rider's hand size independently of anything else on the brake system. Accossato notes that, paired with one of its own brake hose kits and Racing brake oil, this master cylinder is intended to make braking more effective on the sport bikes, offroad machines, scooters and pitbikes it is recommended for.
Fitment and Compatibility
This jointed-lever version carries the same universal status as the earlier 10.5 mm unit in the range: Accossato gives no vehicle list and none is recorded in our fitment data. Check that your handlebar clamp measures 22 mm and that your front brake is compatible with a 10.5 mm piston and an integrated reservoir before buying.
Road Approval
This master cylinder is not supplied with German road-approval documentation; it is intended for track and competition use.
