Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's build sequence for the PZ004 begins with a forging, goes through five-axis CNC machining with checks on three-dimensional measuring equipment, and finishes with a hard oxidation treatment before the silver coating is applied. Four 34 mm aluminium pistons run inside the bore, sealed by a fitted dust seal, and the AGPA134 pads are already mounted when the caliper is packed for despatch. This is the same hardware found across the PZ004 range, built to the same tolerances regardless of finish.
Ordering Without Working Through a List of Options
Several of the other PZ004 finishes are sold with a choice of pad compound and a choice between a single caliper or a pair, which suits buyers planning a specific conversion or replacement. The silver coated listing is simpler: there is one specification to order, with the pads already fitted and no separate compound or contents decision to make at checkout. Road Approval
No ABE is documented for this caliper in Germany, so fitting it to a road-registered bike needs registering with the responsible authority before public road use. A qualified workshop should carry out the fitting, given that the brake system is safety-relevant.
