DescriptionThe whole story▼
Converting a bike from its original brake setup to a pair of PZ004 radial calipers is usually done as a single job rather than one side at a time, and this black anodised version with a tricolour logo is sold with a matched pair as one of its options. The caliper is a forged monobloc radial unit, 108 mm centre distance, 22.5 mm offset, with four aluminium pistons of 34 mm diameter, a fitted dust seal and pads supplied under code AGPA134 on each side. The tricolour logo sits on an otherwise black anodised body, a detail of Accossato's own branding rather than a separate paint finish.
Key Features
- Radial brake caliper, forged monobloc body, made in Italy
- Black anodised finish with tricolour logo
- 108 mm centre distance, 22.5 mm offset
- Four aluminium pistons, 34 mm diameter, per caliper
- Dust seal fitted
- Pads included, code AGPA134, compound OR, ST or ZXC
- Listed for 76 models in our garage, see the Fitment tab
- Available as a matched pair, or as a single left or right caliper
Construction and Material Quality
Both calipers in a matched pair are forged and machined on five-axis CNC equipment in the same production run, checked with three-dimensional measuring gear before the hard oxidation treatment and the black anodising with tricolour logo are applied. Each caliper carries four aluminium pistons of 34 mm diameter behind a fitted dust seal, with pads supplied already fitted under code AGPA134 on both sides. Ordering a pair this way means left and right calipers come from consistent production rather than being sourced separately at different times.
Planning a Two-Caliper Conversion
A full conversion from the original brake setup to the PZ004 involves more than the calipers themselves: the new mounting brackets or adapters, the brake lines and the master cylinder all need to suit a radial caliper with this 108 mm centre distance and 22.5 mm offset. Buying a matched pair at once lets a workshop plan the whole job, including bleeding both sides and setting up the lines, in a single visit rather than returning later for a second caliper. The pad compound chosen, whether organic, sintered or ceramic, should be the same on both sides of a conversion so braking feel stays consistent front to front.
Fitment and Compatibility
The PZ004 is listed for 76 models in our garage, see the Fitment tab, including the Honda CBR1000RR SP2, CFMOTO MT-X 800 and Kawasaki GTR1400. Accossato's fitment data covers 120 individual entries for this caliper, each tied to a specific model year, and checking the Fitment tab before planning a conversion confirms the bike is covered and which mounting hardware will be needed. Where a bike is not listed, the 108 mm centre distance and 22.5 mm offset remain the figures to check against the intended fork and disc.
Road Approval
No ABE is documented for this caliper in Germany, so converting a road-registered bike to this brake setup needs registering with the responsible authority before riding on public roads. Given that brakes are safety-relevant, a qualified workshop should carry out the conversion and bleed the system before the first ride.
Scope of Delivery
1x Accossato PZ004 forged monobloc radial brake caliper in black anodised finish with tricolour logo, supplied as a matched pair, or as a single left or right caliper depending on the option chosen, with aluminium pistons, dust seal and pads in the selected compound already fitted.
